Publisher's Summary

Can you keep a secret?

I grew up sick.⁣ Let me clarify: I grew up believing that real love stories include a martyr or demand great sacrifice to be worthy.⁣ Because of that, I believed it, because I made myself believe it, and I bred the most masochistic of romantic hearts, which resulted in my illness.⁣ When I lived this story, my own twisted fairy tale, it was unbeknownst to me at the time because I was young and naïve. I gave into temptation and fed the beating beast, which grew thirstier with every slash, every strike, every blow.⁣

Triple Falls wasn’t at all what it seemed, nor were the men that swept me under their wing. But in order to keep them, I had to be in on their secrets.⁣ Secrets that cost us everything to keep.⁣ That’s the novelty of fiction versus reality. You can’t re-live your own love story, because by the time you’ve realized you’re living it, it’s over. At least that was the case for me and the men I trusted my foolish heart to.⁣ Looking back, I’m convinced I willed my story into existence, due to my illness, and all were punished.

The Ravenhood trilogy is a gritty, modern-day take on Robin Hood filled with suspense, thrills, and all the feels.

Good story, but the female performer was not the right fit

I enjoyed the story, but I felt the female performer’s voice held me back from really getting into the story. She sounded a lot more mature than the protagonist’s description. Additionally, the delivery didn’t sound like a teenager - too formal. She sounded like she was giving a TED talk. I listened to a book with 3 female performers of varying ages and this woman reminded me of the middle aged character in the other book. I thought the male performer did a good job.

Absolutely, Unbelievably Amazing!!!

I read Flock when it first came out and followed it directly with Exodus. It wrecked me - ugly cry and generalized funk as I couldn’t get it out of my mind - that lasted months. Then I read it again (probably too quickly) before TFL came out and was so proud of how I coped. Now - listening to the emotions Joe and Maxine bring to the book - I am utterly captivated again. The narrators are raw and captivating. Hands down favorite book written this decade but beyond that - best narration I’ve heard of a book.... ever!! Bravo!!! Can not wait until Exodus is released!!

One of the best audios

I will preface, I’m writing this review after finishing the full story. The story itself is not my cup of tea. BUT the audio is amazing. One of the best done audios I’ve listened to.

Team Dom forever.

If you like small town and hot boys with a side of mystery you will love this. You will be kept guessing as to what is actually going on for 95% of the book and it will end on a cliffhanger but I still think it is best to go in blind and find out for yourself.

Also Joe Arden is 🔥as a narrator.

Perfect!

There is just something about listening to the story that brings it to life. The voices just make it that more real. Great job, Maxine and Joe.

A forever favourite!

This book will remain a forever favourite for me. Not only is the story truly engaging and keeps you captivated throughout…ending on cliffy, but this book introduced me to Joe Arden. Do I even need to say more? Joe’s performance as the Ravenhood men is so natural, so real feeling and obviously swoon worthy. He shows each man in their own light, really bringing out their individual character. This book is an absolute delight.

Y’ALL!

I don’t think anyone returns as many audibles as I do. If the narration is bad - it essentially ruins the entire thing for me and I won’t listen to it. I’m also not much of a review person so the fact that I’m doing this says a lot. But, I have to say......

THIS WAS EVERERYYYTHINGGGGG! Bravo Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden on this narration!!! Wow!!! You both did AMAZING!!!!

Unique, twisty, and insanely sexy

Mind. Blown. Kate Stewart brought a totally different kind of read with Flock and I loved it! This review is going to be short and vague because this is a book you want to go into blind.

Cecelia meets Sean at her first day at work. She’s working at a place her father owns to earn her spot there. She and her father are estranged, but she’s living with him and working for him for reasons bigger than herself. She’s expecting to just survive this year of working for her dad, but with Sean and his group of friends, everything changes.

I love books that make me think, make me feel, and keep me guessing. This one did all three. I’m so glad I had no idea what this was about. I’m glad I went in blind and was surprised with each twist and turn. No one crafts a story quite like Kate Stewart, and I was blown away by this one. It was on my mind for days. I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened, what’s happening, and what will happen next. I have so many theories!

This story is unique, it’s twisty, and it’s insanely sexy. After finishing book one, all I have to say is to buckle up, ya’ll. You’re in for a ride! I’m so glad these books are releasing so close together because you’re not going to want to wait long for the next one! If you’re looking for an epic romantic suspense, pick up Flock!

Uggg...wish I could have skipped from LAKE to END

Cecilia makes rash decisions or judgements for no reason, and they are not explained. Her mood swings and lack of confidence is exhausting to read. Nothing makes sense and nothing is explained, writing was seriously lacking..
Save hours of time and read up till the LAKE scene 🔥, then skip to last Chapter. 🙄
Honestly I wish the guy narrator did the whole book, he was good. The girl was super 'on edge' sounding the whole time...it may be why I didn't get Cecila 😒

Trust Me This Book Is HOT!!

"OMFG, this book owned me as well as consumed me, swallowed me whole and spit me out. Yes, I am obsessed. **This is worth every bit of 5 stars in story and performance! If I could give it more stars I definitely would!**
Flock was so much more than I thought it would be and I thought I was ready for this journey, but I clearly was not. I have not been pulled this deep into a book in a long time. Kate Stewart created such a fresh, original, unconventional, sexy, intriguing, captivating, sinful erotic and mysterious love story and I am just in awe.
It is a delicious slow burn that intoxicates you as each page, each chapter is pulling you deeper into the story as it is filled with sexual tension, anticipation, angst, and intrigue. I loved the slower pacing of the story telling. Kate's writing is incredible and gives this story so much description that I felt like I was right there. Kate Stewart you are brilliant!
The story is about Cecile, who moves in with her estranged father to work for his company for a year to secure her inheritance and support her mom. Things get interesting when she meets laid-back Sean with his sexy smirk and paralysing good looks followed by dark, broody, rude, silent but intense Dominic, Sean's best friend. These guys are surrounded by secrecy which mainly sets the mood for this book but even though she feels they are trouble she is drawn to them and slowly lets them lead her into their world."
The Duet style narration preformed by Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden was perfection and SO HOT! **Both Joe and Maxine are my “don’t think twice” one click narrators.** They both did such a wonderful job of keeping me on my toes, edge of my seat, and in need of a few tissues. The story is told through the woman’s POV, so Maxine was leading narration. WOW, she just pulled you into Cecilias world so easily and took you on her journey of self discovery, love, heartbreak, and every emotion in between. There is one chapter in particular where she absolutely wrecked me, her emotions coming through so clearly I felt like I was a voyeur while it was happening. That has stayed with me even after days of completing the book.
This was a different Joe Arden than I’m used to, and I am ALL here for it!! He created this very unique character voice for Sean, voicing his personality perfectly. His extreme laid back, slow paced, cocky voice that was completely laced with a smirk you could visualize. But... the whispers he delivers... the angry whispers/sexy whispers, that got me good! His voice for Dominic was completely the opposite. Dom’s voice commanded your attention . It was deep, domineering, intense, and had hot anticipation. I was hanging on to Dom’s every word.
This is book 1, and it ends in a massive cliffhanger. I cannot wait to find out where book 2 (Exodus), will take my beloved characters. I will definitely listen to this one again and again! A must listen for sure!

Horribly toxic relationship

The relationships in this book are horribly toxic. The men in the book are all controlling and manipulative, and spend the entire book gaslighting the main female character (Cecelia). They are also unsufferably sanctimonious and spend most of the book lecturing both Cecelia and us as the reader. I finally reached my breaking point after one of the characters treats Cecelia badly, and then when she is justifiably angry, he blows his top and manipulates HER into apologizing to him. I wanted to DNF this book so many times, but I kept reading because there were so many good reviews. I did finish but I regret spending my time listening to this book. All I am is angry that anyone would think emotional abusers like this were the "amazing men" the book described them as over and over.

Hopefully the 2nd will be better

Maxine Mitchell's voice, although very nice, is much too "mature" sounding for a barely 19yr old. Jo Arden as well sounds too mature for the barely 20 males.

I really dislike when barely legal individual's are portrayed like they've lived enough to not only compare relationships and or individual's to know when one is better and "all they've ever dreamed of". This really makes me take an instant dislike to a story. Cecilia's lack of maturity made me not like her as much as I normally would but this plot (so far) has me interested enough to continue to the next in series.

Flock gets you in the feels.

Wow! What in the world can I say about Flock? This is by far the best book I have read/listened to in 2021. The build up of characters, the amazing description and thoughts that are brought to life. You truly feel like your in Triple Falls living with Cee, Sean and Dom.
Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden do such a fabulous job narrating, and captivate you from the beginning. This is a Trilogy. Exodus is book 2 and The Finish Line is book 3. This book leaves you wanting more, not a HUGE cliffhanger, but makes you want to dive into Exodus right NOW! Kate Stewart also has put together a Spotify list called "The Ravenhood". Its absolutely epic as well, and makes you feel like your chillin at The Garage with them. DO NOT PASS ON THIS SERIES! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

The narration on this book was absolutely fantastic I really love the narrators, but I really just couldn’t get behind the story and the MC just really did not do it for me.
