Publisher's Summary

If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one. After 17 years - and countless broken bones and broken promises - she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close.

But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she's spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything. Including Ivan Lukov.

Not impressed

Too many F bombs , and that’s only in the first 5 min
I’m sure there are better options to use

Starting to see a pattern

Mariana Zapata is one of my favorites. However with this one, I felt a lazyness in the making of the story. It has almost the same twists as The Wall of Winnipeg mixed with Kulti. I would have liked to be surprised, but nope. They hate each other, then, the hero lets her know she's soooo worth all the consideration in the world.
Anyway, for first readers of Zapata's work, you'll love it. I was just expecting more.

A 26 year old going on 12!

PERFORMANCE is 4☆ and the "Overall" & "Story" is a one star but for some odd reason the app only has a one star option for each category???

I don't understand how this book received such good ratings. I am on chapter 7 & am just so annoyed. I am thinking to myself why am I listening to this s...? The "banter" or "love tension" between these 2 brings me back to my teenage years. This is NOT how adults should act and if some do, shame on them! I found it extremely juvenile and over the top!
The main characters inner thoughts just went on and on and on and on! This is my first book by this author and I am not too sure I will try another one. I certainly can't find another one based on ratings and reviews because this one had such a high rating. There are very few books I don't give the author a chance to pick up the pace on. However, I just couldn't finish this! The whining and carrying on over "satan" had me yelling out loud saying "Then why the hell are you partnering up with him? You have full control of that!". That's when I decided to call it quits on this book! I now see other 1 or 2 star reviews had the exact same complaints as I. I certainly do not recommend this book. For a teenager or young adult they may enjoy it but I am in my 40's & found it too annoying & childish! I hope to return it.

One of the best books I’ve ever experienced!

This book is a masterpiece. Perfectly narrated by Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton, this remarkable enemies-to-lovers romance above two utterly amazing athletes takes my breath away every time I revisit it. Wonderfully funny, perfectly swoon worthy, everyone should wish for a love half as wonderful as the one these two incredible people share.

Jasmine and Ivan, you’ll forever be two of my favourite characters. Thank you for the journey, Mariana - these two are old friends I need to visit often.

Slow-paced, repetitive

I feel lousy having to rate this story so low. The backbone of the story is cute. There is just so much unneccesary repetition and bad language in the descriptions and dialogue that it slows the story down to a snail’s pace. Piling curse words on top of each other does not make a description stronger. I have extra repect for the narrators for making such a fantastic performance of a text that would have had my eyes rolling perpetually.

Slow start

I almost gave up on this book. Jasmine’s inner dialogue was too drawn out for the first 3 hours. Eventually the story picked up and I was happy I stuck with it. What a sweet story! Ivan is an amazing character and he balances out Jasmine’s toughness. I really enjoyed the growth of their relationship which showcased their mutual respect, support and adoration for each other.

Best sports story and love story I’ve read.

As a former high performance athlete I can attest to the fact that this book does an excellent job of exploring the emotions, struggles, and overall experiences of athletes who dedicate themselves to a sport. On top of that, this was one of the best, sweetest, and most believable love stories I’ve ever read. The characters are perfectly imperfect and could not be improved upon.

Can't Get Enough

Mariana Zapata never disappoints me. Love the narration by Callie Dalton. I'm nearly finished all of her books and I don't know what I'll do when I've read and listened to them all!

Abusive dynamic

I felt the hero was really controlling. It worked out for the heroine now, but in five years when they have some sort of disagreement? She’ll be with a guy who doesn’t respect her autonomy, and that sucks. Good setting. Not a fan of Teddy Hamilton’s accent.

Good performance mehhh story

The performance was really good and I loved the fact that Lukov was performed by an actual man and not a girl voice. About the book, there were so many unecessary long moment omg it was boring sometimes it could have been so much better! The global story was good tho
