Henry’s knack for writing relatable characters while balancing romantic love with relationships between friends and siblings adds even more joy to this beautiful story. I love the character development in all of her books! I love that the characters act in a realistic way and are not cringy. It’s refreshing to see female characters especially not being a cheerful type. This was an awesome book from start to finish!! The narration is perfect too. I couldn’t be happier with this book and look forward to reading her next one just like I have bought all of her previous ones.

Funny Story by Emily Henry — ⭐⭐⭐⭐¼

I really enjoyed this book! It was funny, charming, and full of witty banter, with just the right amount of romance and emotional depth. I loved how the story balanced humour with more meaningful moments about relationships, friendship, and finding happiness when life doesn’t go quite as planned.

The characters were entertaining, and I enjoyed watching their relationships develop. There were some genuinely sweet moments that made this an enjoyable read.

Although I liked the story, it didn’t quite give me that extra emotional punch I look for in a five-star book. Still, it was a refreshing change of pace and definitely worth reading.

4.25 stars — a fun, heartwarming romance with plenty of laughs!
