Disappointed
There were a few things about this audiobook that will make me think twice about continuing with this series. Firstly, the narration was subpar. The author should have left it to someone with some emotion and a bit of storytelling ability. Pronunciation issues and halting sentences had me wincing at times. Secondly the recording had at least two spots where dialogue was repeated and one instance of dialogue missing, in the end during a pivotal part of the climax, a chapter or scene was just missing. I thought the plot had lots of potential and I did enjoy some of the cultural details such as the funeral scene and what life is like in Hong Kong. Paints a pretty good picture of the geography of city. That being said as the storyline progressed events got more and more far fetched and unrealistic. Unbelievable in some instances.
