Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early 20th century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. "A place", he said, "where learning is a game." Shortly after the school opened, his wife and daughter were kidnapped. The only real clue was a mocking riddle listing methods of murder, signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious".

Publisher's Summary
The New York Times best-selling series with over one million copies sold
The highly anticipated sequel to the international best seller, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder! More dark secrets are exposed in this addictive, true-crime fueled mystery.
Pip is not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.
The police won't do anything about it. And if they won't look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town's dark secrets along the way...and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it's too late?
What the critics say
"The book pulled me into it so hard that I forgot everything going on around me, I just needed to solve the murder with Pip." (PopSugar)
"This is a great, twisty read for fans of YA." (Book Riot)
"A taut, compulsively readable, elegantly plotted thriller." (The Guardian)

Over Hyped
After reading the first one I had high hopes but it didn’t live up to the hype. Pip was a lot more… annoying? In this one. It seemed pretty far fetched and reaching in spots and has turned me off the series. I do recommend the first one, but just leave it as a stand alone.

Not terrible
I’m not 100% sold on the voice acting. The main narrator switching between voices sounds weird to me, especially since you hear the “real” voices when they’re recording the podcast. The main narrator doesn’t do a very good job at mimicking their real voices… but maybe I’m just being picky. I really enjoyed the first book and I enjoyed this one as well.

Better than expected!!
Honestly the performances have lacked even in the first book because I hate when the narrator is making mouth expressions for things that are going on and especially when the woman narrator makes a manly voice for a male character. That’s why I ranked the performances low. However, the book in itself was really good the plot twists made sense and she connected the first and the second book together smartly in a way that series lack sometimes.

Season two
A good girl’s guide to murder.... wasn’t planning for this one.
We join Pip and the others picking up shortly after the first book, when it all takes a whole new twist, and this time we aren’t looking at an old case.
I found this story even more on the edge of your seat, because time was important, this was the now. I loved how characters continued to develop, and new characters and old characters make appearances.
This book was absolutely hard when we find out a case was going on, a previous character in court and what happens from there.
Watching and seeing Pip, I felt like Holly did an amazing job was she made Pip change, she had too, she made it realistic. I also was happy to see a couple pieces pulled in from the first book too.
This one I felt more there because it was happening in the moment, I had to know if our missing person would be found, and in what condition.
I loved the first book, but this one got even better for me, and I can’t wait for book 3! A perfect five out of five for me 📱📱📱📱📱

With the wait!
I bought the first book out of the blue just to give myself something to read at work, and the BOOM! Was addicted! I don’t want to put any spoilers. But I knew I wouldn’t be able to bring the book at whatever post I had to work, so I went ahead and did this audio thing! And I am not disappointed, I do feel the read could had sounded better, but hey, still pretty great! This author is just really good at making it feel like ur watching a movie in your head while following, and of course there were so many twists! I still wish you guys gave ravi a voice lol
Overall, just a really good book and I look forward for the 3rd!

Holly you did an amazing job on this sequel! you really got me relating to Pippa and understanding her feelings and thoughts. you make her able to be so relatable and real in this story. The ending really made me tear up and I wanted to ball out several times. It's amazing you've made her such a relatable character even for older people who are not in high school. Almost as good as the first!
I give this book 4 stars instead of 5 because of the very out of left field twist that tied up everything just a bit too conveniently and suddenly. I know murder mysteries are far fetched and even more so with YA versions but it was a big stretch. It was still great, enjoyable, and I'm excited for part three now! Attention holding narration just like first one really makes a book for me.
