Publisher's Summary

The former Clifton Forge, Montana motorcycle club has everyone in town convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story—one she’s going to tell.

As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the club, Bryce is determined to expose the members and their leader, Kingston “Dash” Slater, as murderers.

Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.

Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.

One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Steel King.

4.75 ⭐️

I’ve heard so many thoughts from so many different people on this series. I’ve heard it’s going to be a Sons of Anarchy type of vibe. Some people have said they were disappointed it wasn’t exactly like it. I’ve never watched the show so I don’t really know if I can compare it to it.

I actually thought this was a good introduction to an mc gang romance. It’s not super dark like other ones that I’ve read, but there is a murder mystery, there’s some history on the mc gang which I’m also assuming will be discovered more thoroughly through other books in the series??

I love a good adventure/murder mystery romance book! It was so great to read about Bryce, who has a reporter and Dash who is part of this ex mc gang in a small town. It was opposites attract for sure! Devney Perry, does really well at insta love (For someone like me who doesn’t enjoy it) BUT THANKFUL this one didn’t have it!! I’m not normally a fan of surprise pregnancy, but I felt like Devney Perry wrote it in a way that wasn’t the cliché in every single surprise pregnancy book.

I absolutely love the mail narrator!! Teddy Hamilton Was amazing. I need to listen to more books with him in them. Just the sound of his voice was very satisfying to me I felt it really fit the atmosphere of Clifton Forge and the mc gang world. I’ve listened to probably a handful of books now with Ava Erickson. I don’t have any complaints but I don’t have anything that stood out about her narration.

I would have given this book a full five stars, but I was just distracted by life which threw me off a little bit from enjoying the book.
