Story
The night Luke Rosen met Scarlett Marks was the only time he’s regretted becoming chief of police. One horrific night of blood and death, and now she’s living under his roof — all because he swore an oath to serve and protect. Scarlett is stubborn and infuriating. She has no respect for the order in his structured life, and she never does anything she’s told. Worse, she doesn’t seem to care that the information she has on a motorcycle gang means she might end up dead.

Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé - according to his text - has forgotten about the wedding. Humiliated and angry, she hides from the world in the mundane routine of her life. Working at the Clifton Forge Garage isn’t glamorous, but it’s safe from the spotlight. At least it was, until Shaw Valance comes to town.

“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.” Those words changed my life, and not for the better. They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up. After being charged with a string of offences - and made an example of by my political-minded father - I’m eventually released back into Shadow Grove with one thing on my mind. Hate. Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid-out future. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.

Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville - at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade ring in my ears every time a towns-person brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again. Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons - sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer.

If people have polar opposites, Luca Rossi is mine. His butt is in the baseball hall of fame. Mine's comfortably seated in the hall of lame. When he's not snagging fly balls out in center field, he's modeling in shampoo commercials. I once jammed my own finger while stirring cookie dough, and sometimes I forget shampoo is a thing. He's a total cynic when it comes to love. I make a living writing love stories. But after my latest broken engagement (no, I don't want to talk about how many times that's happened), it's clear he's exactly the man I need.

Publisher's Summary
The former Tin Gypsy motorcycle club has everyone in Clifton Forge, Montana, convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story - one she’s going to tell.
As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the Tin Gypsies, Bryce is determined to expose the club and their leader, Kingston "Dash" Slater, as murderers.
Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.
Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.
One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Gypsy King.

Sizzle sizzle BOOM
The sparks between the two main characters in Devney Perry’s newest book is off the charts. I was invested in their story from the first chapter. Bryce is a big city hot shot reporter looking for a career story in the small town she now calls home. Dash is the former president of the now defunct Tin Gypsy motorcycle club and owner of a thriving automobile repair shop. Bryce is certain there’s something that needs to be told about Dash and his former club. Her hunch seems correct when a murder occurs and the prime suspect is Dash’s father and the former Prez... I felt like this book had everything I love- hot alpha heroes, smart strong women and a story that keeps me engaged from word one until the final page. Highly recommended to anyone interested in an enemies to lovers story. The narration was excellent as usual from Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton

Great Love Story
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It's very different than anything I've read by Devney and she did such a great job balancing the rugged with the sensitive caring man Dash turned out to be. I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. Great read.

Rushed. Unresolved plot. Unrealistic. Unimpressed
This book had a LOT of potential. First off let me say, the narration was on-point. Audible did a great job producing this one... with what they had. the issues are all with the story itself. The good points: Characters were developed well in the beginning. Relationship between the main characters was engaging. But there are some MAJOR ISSUES with this story line. The bad points: A) It was ridiculously predictable. I'm not usually one who can figure out things before they happen but with this book, I kept knowing. There were zero surprises. That was a total let down. B) The BIGGEST issue is that the main plot line is unresolved. I actually had to google it to see if maybe it was a 1 liner I'd missed. NOPE! The WHOLE BOOK is centered around a plot that's left completely unresolved at the end. Not only that, but it's COMPLETELY IGNORED. WHAT.THE.HECK?!?! That's called doing your fans dirty and not bothering to do your job and complete the story. It's dirty because it's trying to force fans to get your next book to find out what happens instead of delivering a complete, satisfying story and letting your work stand on it's own merit. Just Dirty. Until now, I enjoyed each of Devney Perry's stories. But this one is like she ran into a publishing deadline and wrote a quick ending without addressing the plot she spent the whole book working on. Which brings me to the next and final issue: C) Character development was out the window at the end. MC suddenly goes from fearful and unavailable to in love and marry me. It was completely implausible. There was no explanation and no believability. Book was essentially rushed and incomplete. I bought this before it was released on the basis of Devney Perry's other work. I wont be making that mistake again. And I can almost guarantee I'm going to google the plot summary of the next book so I get some resolution and save myself the time amd money of buying another book only to be left hanging. I dont know about you, but I dont like being manipulated to buy another story.

Great narration! Good book.
I was super excited about this book and although it was a good book, good story and characters it fell after one that knocked my socks off (which is not the books fault) however it had me hoping for a repeat of that tingling feeling book high that was still in my blood from the one I just finished yesterday. This is definitely a good book though. Check it out. Teddy and Ava are always fabulous.

The narrator's did a good job. The story was disappointing. I couldn't stand the main character, Bryce. I really tried to. I really wanted to! As it was, I couldn't make it past chapter 10 because I was so annoyed with her.

oh so very good!!!!
This book is absolutely perfect. This is a small town enemies to lovers story told in the most perfect way. Bryce and Dash have amazing chemistry that you can feel from their first interaction. There is suspense, witty banter, and some sexy times. Dash is the ex president of an MC Club that went legit, and Bryce is a reporter searching for a big story. They clash over and over again along the way, but the spark between them becomes explosive. I will be recommending this book to all of my book loving friends!! Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson are amazing!!!!

5/5
I've read Devney Perry before, and loved everything I've read so far, so I'm not entirely sure why I waited to read this one. I picked this up to read as part of a Reading Challenge, and now, I'm hooked on this series. From what I can tell, most of the characters from future books make brief appearances in this one, and I have to know what happens with them. I really loved Dash and Bryce together. I was midway through the book, when I realized the character connection to The Clover Chapel, book 2 in this author's Jamison Valley series. I love it when authors connect their books through these small details. Although, there is a few steamy scenes on the page, most is only implied. I really enjoyed this because I love a good steamy scene, but I also enjoyed how, in doing this, the author drew more attention to the storyline, and it was a great storyline! The Tin Gypsy world is so well built. The suspense is movie-worthy, and the character details are very thorough. After the book ended, I felt like I was saying goodbye to friends, but that bonus scene, was a great send off! I listened to this book in audio, and I have to say the narrators did an amazing job bringing this story to life. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorites, and no surprise, he sounded fantastic as Dash. This is the first audio I've heard with Ava Erickson, that I'm aware of, and she was outstanding as Bryce. I'm now a huge fan, and I'll definitely be searching for audio she voices in the future.

Great Story....but?
I enjoy a good MC Romance and this one was not disappointing Kingston is everything you could imagine for a MC President but they are a disbanned club and there is a reporter trying to make a name for herself in their small town that he comes head to head with. The character match up is great but I feel like the big story that brought these two together go unanswered, not sure if this ended as a cliff hanger or they just stopped talking about it in the last chapter and epilogue. I will continue the series to see and hopefully the hanging question is answered I can't tell by reading the story blurb.
