MC pretty much did a completely 180. In book 1, he was a whiny sociopath, but he changed a lot in book 2. His actions are very mature and confident, his internal monologure is hilarious. He is very likable in this book.

One complaint I have is that the narrator keeps having MC pronouce "skill" as "scale", and he is doing this on purpose because other characters pronous the word correctly

Lots of people don’t like how heartless the MC is. But to me it makes sense. He is funny and quite kind in his own head. It’s just that he doesn’t let people see it.

I can't say enough amazing things about this cynical and deadly story with the hints of how well the main character builds his way up. I cannot wait for the next book!

story kept me interested the whole read. characters are likeable and seem to be coming into some companionship. the lack of descriptive language was irritating but i got over it.
