It's about how to make a commitment, how to persevere, how to deal with failure - and how to train your mind to create a self-image that promotes confidence and accomplishment.

Not relevant to most people or athletes

As a non-golfer with no real knowledge of the activity (/“sport”) including historical stars and the significance of technical aspects, a huge portion of the book was completely lost on me.
Of the portions that are not intended to help golfers, a significant majority of remaining examples revolve around NCAA basketball. Another sport and league that doesn’t interest me.
If you are a golfer that follows March madness, you’ll love this.
If, like me, you have no appreciation for either I would definitively steer clear.

Too good. Not a golfer myself but I like the approach Dr.Rotella, he is pragmatic yet ties in motor learning literature

A good purchase.

I listen to a lot of sports psychology books during my commute. I am training for extreme distance triathlons. This book did heavily focus on golf. It did, however, touch on other sports. Either way, the concepts in this book will work for any sport, or any athlete. It was a great purchase and the narrator/author did an exceptional job narrating.

Absolutely incredible book about mindset. I can’t say enough good things about this. I will keep this in my rotation of book I listen to often which is roughly 5/200+ titles I own.

Great Book

I love that the book is read by the author. I admire this author as a sports psychologist and as a person; he loves the Lord and America and offers great advice.

Every entrepreneur needs this!

While it is based on sports, every entrepreneur should read/listen to this. The process reigns! Mindset is the core of all success. It is easy to understand these principles but I will be repeatedly listening to this audiobook in order to continue to ingrain these habits in myself.

Helped me break out of a lot of mental traps and I don't even play sports. So worth it!

Can't say enough good things about this book. The advice is transferable to basically any life situation. I am not an athlete, never have been, but thanks to this book, I feel like I'm winning the wrestling match in my brain with perfectionism and pessimism. I finally know how to follow Churchill's advice and fail without loss of enthusiasm. I now get why the happy competitive folks aren't delusional, but are unusually adaptive-even (and especially) when they lose. Please get this book? I'm not telling you what to do, I just don't want you to miss it. I haven't felt the same since I read it, and I go back and read parts again when I want to brush up. These aren't empty words and mantras or fake smiles, these are tools to help you or anyone you know live well.
