The COVID-19 outbreak has turned bedrooms into offices, pitted young against old, and widened the gaps between rich and poor, red and blue, the mask wearers and the mask haters. Some businesses woke up to find themselves crushed under an avalanche of consumer demand. Others scrambled to escape obliteration. But as New York Times best-selling author Scott Galloway argues, the pandemic has not been a change agent so much as an accelerant of trends already well underway. In Post Corona, he outlines the contours of the crisis and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Publisher's Summary
Based on the highly acclaimed NPR podcast How I Built This with Guy Raz, this book offers priceless insights and inspiration from the world's top entrepreneurs on how to start, launch, and build a successful venture.
Great ideas often come from a simple spark: A soccer player on the New Zealand national team notices all the unused wool his country produces and figures out a way to turn them into shoes (Allbirds). A former Buddhist monk decides the very best way to spread his mindfulness teachings is by launching an app (Headspace). A sandwich cart vendor finds a way to reuse leftover pita bread and turns it into a multimillion-dollar business (Stacy’s Pita Chips).
Award-winning journalist and NPR host Guy Raz has interviewed more than 200 highly successful entrepreneurs to uncover amazing true stories like these. In How I Built This, he shares tips for every entrepreneur's journey: from the early days of formulating your idea, to raising money and recruiting employees, to fending off competitors, to finally paying yourself a real salary. This is a must-listen for anyone who has ever dreamed of starting their own business or wondered how trailblazing entrepreneurs made their own dreams a reality.

Really Great Book and Structure
Kudos to Guy on this one. The structure is such that it's a thoroughly enjoyably listen without feeling overwhelmed by information or too lengthy a narrative. By breaking it down into shorter 20-25 minute chapters (each mostly focusing on a small handful of businesses) and pulling from that singular lessons is very digestible. Picked some great stories and definitely provided a greater context in the delivery of it all, which is why I give it straight 5's. There really is a lot to pull from this regardless of the level you're operating on.

GET THIS BOOK!
Guy Raz has given us a pure gem. The way he has collected stories, principles, and the steps of entrepreneurship and shared them with us is masterful. As a writer myself, I often can’t help but critique how things are written or how I might’ve put it differently. Instead, here, I found myself sitting back marveling at his perfect word choice. It’s the most exquisite blend of compassion and truth-telling, maybe ever, by an author. I’ll no doubt be listening again!

As you have probably already guessed (given Guy Raz is the genius behind this creation) it is enjoyable to listen to as well as DENSELY PACKED with info. Like who the heck else other than Guy Raz can pack so much info into such an enjoyable AND digestible listen. Definitely make sure you are paying attention though, every minute contains info you will want to receive. :) Anyways, overall impressed and ngl, I still have a few hours left. The title of my review is so self-evident that, chances are, fifty other reviewers have used it or a very similar one. No other conclusion can be drawn after listening to it. And Guy Raz? The guy is a professional radio/podcast person so, yeah, he is more than capable. He is also passionate, humble and grateful. What’s not to like about this book? OK, maybe it is slightly niche-y, if that’s even a word. You probably ought to be interested in this type of story. But you will not be disappointed if you are.

I love this book because of the variety. There are a variety of business owners, strategies, types of businesses, etc. As a result, there are innovative and creative solution that fuel my own innovation. Even with all of the variety, the author pulls out sounds principle and approaches to guide the reader and creative problem solver. Love this! When I'm stuck, this is one of my go to's.
