Publisher's Summary

For the first time, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson opens up about his amazing comeback - from tragic personal loss to thriving businessman and cable’s highest-paid executive - in this unique self-help guide, his first since his blockbuster New York Times best seller The 50th Law.

In his early 20s, Curtis Jackson, known as 50 Cent, rose to the heights of fame and power in the cutthroat music business. A decade ago, the multi-platinum selling rap artist decided to pivot. His ability to adapt to change was demonstrated when he became the executive producer and star of Power, a high-octane, gripping crime drama centered around a drug kingpin's family. The series quickly became "appointment" television, leading to Jackson inking a four-year, $150 million contract with the Starz network - the most lucrative deal in premium cable history.

Now, in his most personal audiobook, Jackson shakes up the self-help category with his unique, cutting-edge lessons and hard-earned advice on embracing change. Where The 50th Law tells listeners, "Fear nothing and you shall succeed", Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter builds on this message, combining it with Jackson's street smarts and hard-learned corporate savvy to help listeners successfully achieve their own comeback - and to learn to flow with the changes that disrupt their own lives.

An unexpectedly, electrifyingly entertaining book

Thought this was going to be another 'get rich or die trying' theme like the movie which was outright horrible and way over exaggerated. The somewhat biographical movie was a far-fetched depiction of curtis's real life, as it mixed so many falsehoods with a little bit of truth!

This book though, tells it as it is. Curtis Jackson comes out of no where with life lessons drawn from his real-life tragedies such as losing his mom at the age of 9 to a drug fued, growing up without ever knowing his father and surviving an assassination attempt with 9 bullet wounds (one to the face) that left him for dead right in front of the house of his grandparents, who he loved and nurtured!

Curtis shows how much more intelligent and wiser he has grown to become after tasting so many failures, which converted to immense successes later on his career.

Although I don't agree with his views on violence in the book (like how he said he'd have his friend's back even if they were to punch a complete stranger in the face), it's safe to say that most of the stuff he says in this book are spot on! Like how betrayal is worse than death and that we can comprehend death, but we can't comprehend beytral.

He was saying it straight from the heart, you can tell that! I mean what's a worse act of betrayal than to have his son (Marquise Jackson) publicly post an Instagram pic with his dad's supposed attempted killer (who hired a gunman to shoot Curtis 9 times)! That's real betrayal! Curtis dealt with it in a comedic way as usual by posting an Instagram reply stating that "he wouldn't have a bad day if those two got hit by a bus!" (Meaning his son and the drug dealer who ordered a hit on Curtis)

You can tell Curtis has really left the streets and now hangs out with intellects who he draws wisdom from because it is reflected in this book.

It's great to see the positive transformation he has gone and his lack of care for the negative street talk thag arose about him selling out or becoming a nerd for writing a book! The guy really doesn't care about what his past street crews, family members and rap industry friends and foes think about him.

Looking forward to see even more positive transformations from Curtis so he can recover from all the misfortunes he had to endure as a kid.

Curtis was unapologetic and very honest about his shortcomings and failures from which he drew valuable lessons from and shares in this electrifyingly, entertaining book.

5 out of 5 for sure, for blowing it out of the water (or streets in 50 Cent's case)

A great read, with many gems on life written so simply and effective. Felt very personal, like we were having some of the conversation face to face. I knew he was smart, but i gained a new perspective on his mindset and a new way of looking at my own life

Worth at least 1 dollar 😆

so much value from 50 Cent in this book.
I feel him reading it though.
I believe this is a book I will have to, and will, relisten to over and over again.

For competition's sake, Kevin Hart's was better 🤣

The King of PETTY to Coach of the Chess team

I never cared too much for 50 cent. I've also never bought or listened to any of his albums. I found him to be in conflict with people far too often and I considered him to be petty and low-level functioning. Why get in the ring when you own the stadium? It didn't make sense to me. It's one thing to be in conflict earlier on in your career but at this point?... For what and why? I just so happened to be reading the 50th Law when he dropped his new book I wasn't sure if the genius behind the 50th law was truly Robert Greene with Curtis as the billboard or if it was actually a partnership. When I got the notification for his new book, I purchased it immediately.

Never would I have ever thought all of his conflict were ALL purposeful and calculated. I was shocked to know he connected the dots enough to create such strategic moves. A lot of his principles are things I do. 'How I play my hand' if you will. The duality to him is interesting because it's something we all deal with on some level. Curtis, the business man, head coach of the chess team, mogul and business man wrote this book. It was refreshing and highly worth the read for anyone who is in need of strengthening their mindset and needing assistance in getting put on to the rules to handling business wither entrepreneurial or corporate. You can hear the vulnerability and pain speaking of certain situations in his life - his first born son and his son's mother.

My hope is to see him come full circle in stepping into the full power he has acquired in business within his broken personal relationships. It would be a true demonstration of actualizing acquired knowledge only time can tell. Anywho... there is a lot of truth and tools on this man's tool belt and it would be nice to see more of this side of Curtis. I look forward to his next projects... Lord knows I can't wait for Power Book II !! WHEW!!

The one thing I loved most about this book, is it exemplifies a personal belief of mine which is 'Nothing is ever wasted'. Everything you go through.. every trial, error, triumph or defeat all serve a purpose for you to learn from. Those gems you gain from the experiences will be useful to you somewhere down the line. Curtis is living proof! He applied his street smarts to the boardroom and he's winning. Kudos to more win, greater success and for filling meaningful relationships. Much respect!

One of the best BOOKS IN 2020

So many jewels in this book it's crazy!!! This aint the IG 50 trolling people. This the 44 year old Curtis, that pays tons of respect to the veterans of the game Diddy, Hov, and Dre. He admits his flaws, which shows tremendous growth. Going back for a second listen!!

Perform every action like your life depends on it

Listened to this on 2X speed to see how fast I could hustle my way to end.

GOOD:

Several stories and concepts that are practical and useful to non-celebrities.

Good suggestions on strategic planning.

A definitive guide on how to never become complacent.

50 has the same amount of hours in a day as the rest of them; however he hustles non-stop in order to accomplish his goals and isn’t afraid of failure.

Story is prime example that effort prevails over talent and IQ every time.

Thanks Curtis for sharing your story with the world as a lab experiment.

BAD:

Kind of slow and repetitive at certain points but 50’s enthusiasm is able to move the narrative along.

OVERALL: I highly recommend this book at faster listening speeds.

So MANY GEMS IN THIS BOOK

50 taught me so much in this book and to think I named my son Marquise after his son and they both just alike. Disrespectful as hell but like 50 I still want to see him WIN. This book has so many lessons in it that I’m about to start it over and start writing them down to learn them. Very powerful

#1 Best Seller

From front to back I loved every word. I love the indepth look into his life he gives us. Being from Queens as well and growing up recoding music videos with my friends to 50 is the future acting like we were G-Unit, and now being at the age where I'd rather stay home with the family on my bday this book left me relating to him on so many levels.....
Chapter 4 was my favorite Chaptet but 8 touched my soul. Only the real can relate.
This is a must read for every fan, thanks Fif.

Captivating conceptualization of life

I found that the story critically thought about everyday life experiences and gave measurable, attainable and reasonable ways of achieving insight and latitude. It was relatable and detailed with many attributes of sophisticated history one wouldn't otherwise be exposed . The only critique would be the pronunciation of words were sometimes skewed and there were a few too many references to those that didn't welcome his constructive criticism.

Amazing book

This book was a great opportunity to see the evolution of 50cent and Curtis Jackson through these years. And we learn a lot from 50 cent who is not a simple rapper but an entrepreneur, philanthropist, producteur. Thanks for your book Curtis!
