Publisher's Summary

Dani "Mega" O’Malley plays by her own set of rules - and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.

When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks - and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.

Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin - before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

Great story with almost perfect narration

Love KMM’s books - I really like these two narrators! I absolutely love dual narration!

Dude, It exceeded my expectations

I loved Dani from the Fever Series (she cracks me up!) And this story did not disappoint. I mistakenly thought this was going to be a YA book - thank goodness it wasn't! Don't get me wrong, I love YA books but I think the direction KMM is going with this character is best kept outside YA genre.
This book was way beyond my expectations. After Shadowfever I didn't think there were anymore stories to be told. Glad I was wrong!
I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will just say get this book if you loved the Fever Series.
As always, Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross are amazing!!!

5 Stars!!!!!

Start with an accent!!

Seriously, if the main character has an Irish accent, get someone who can do the accent. This story is lost in a shifting and really bad accent. Natalie Ross is a fine narrator, but she was pushed off a cliff in this effort.

WOW! All i can say is "Dude!"

Generally I have found but I don't really enjoy a second series involving spin-off characters from a beloved author.
That said.... OMG! You have to get this! It's MEGA amazing. I thought I would miss Mac and Barrons but I really didn't; the development of the supporting characters from the Fever series is fulfilling.
This book proves Dani is a strong enough hero to stand on her own.
If you didn't read the Fever series I think you can still enjoy this one.
Don't worry the voices and narrator chemistry are still magical.
I couldn't stop listening.

Would be good except...

I can't stand the heroine being a 14 year old girl. If it was strictly a YA book I would have preferred it to having to constantly think about a 14 year old child in a club where sex is so prominent, where waitresses have to dress like school girls and where grown men want her. As the mother of two teenagers and having been a young girl in situations beyond my maturity, I hate this aspect of the book and I can't even finish it. I don't think it's cute and I don't think it's right to continually make children the focus of sexual situations and relationships. I don't begrudge KMM her success, I just wish she would have either left Dani as a kid sister or made her older. To make her the object of grown men's sexual awareness is not only creepy, it's sick in a very real way. I'm truly disappointed! If there was ever a book I wanted to return, it would be this one.

Welcome on-board the Dani Express dudes

I'm a huge KMM fan and this was an automatic download for me but when it started and I realised it was about a 14 year old girl I thought "oh dear I don't think I'm going to like this" as I usually only listen to any form in the romance genre.

However, I was pleasantly surprised as it was set in a futuristic fantasy world full of paranormal and human characters who all get involved in Danni's adventures. There was lots of fun filled and dramatic action coupled with treachery and betrayal and the hint of future love interests.

Worth a credit? If I'd known the book was following a 14 yr old's exploits then I wouldn't have downloaded it but the story was well written, enjoyable and anything that has Phil Gigante's voice in it then I have to say Yes.

WOW!!!!! I am in love with a new series!

I totally agree with the previous person who said that spin offs are normally not as good as the original series. THIS ONE IS THE EXCEPTION! Anyone who has read Moning knows how complex her world and her characters are, and she is writing true to form. I was totally pulled in and submerged with this new book. I acted like one of my teenagers when I heard the music at the end and realized that the book was stopping. This is totally worth your credit. I hate, hate that I have to wait for the next one!!

As Dani would say, "Feckin' unbelievable!"

Glad I gave this one a try

Any additional comments?

I initially wasn't planning on purchasing this book as Dani wasn't my favorite from the Fever series. I am so glad I did buy it! In this book, Dani is much more well rounded as a heroine and there is the bonus of learning more about some of the secondary characters from the Fever series that I wondered about after the last book. I am LOVING that there is a continuation of Christian's story. Looking forward to the next two books!

Dont Miss This One!

This is a Great Introduction for the next section of this on going story! It sets up so many avenues for these charictors to travel. You get the information on Dani's background that makes you understand how her mind works. Why she does what she does, what makes her tic.

She has two men who are fighting over her for the woman she will become, and does not realize what is going on. I can't wait for the next book!

Pleasantly Surprised!

I wasn't a big fan of Dani in the Fever series. I wasn't planning on reading or listening to this book, but decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did! If you liked the Fever and Highlander series', you'll love this too. Already am dying to know what happens next!

I want more of this exciting, promising new series

Iced is being held as the 6th fever book or the first book in the Dani O’Malley series. KKM promised that there will be two more Dani books (Burned and Flayed)…I can only imagine what is to come.

I think this series is starting off much like the Fever series did (Dark Fever, first book) and KKM. I like the way the author takes time to really introduce each character and to let the reader get to know them. At first glance this may seem like slow development, but for me it helps me to become vested in the characters. In The Fever series Dani was a supporting or side character and Mac was the main character with Barrons being an ever present factor. In Iced, Dani is the lead and the others are revolving around her. There is much more to this girl that I ever expected. Dani is 14 years old, but this is not Young Adult Reading. Let me repeat, not Young Adult Reading.

After listing to a few chapters I was totally hooked once again. By the end of the story KKM sinks her hooks in deeper. I am already wishing the next installment of the series was out.

As always I was totally captivated by the combination of Phil G. and Natalie Ross as narrators. They have narrated several of the other Fever books that I have seriously enjoyed and this one was no different. I have to be honest, I find myself searching for other books that these two have narrated either as partners or as individuals. I have not been disappointed yet.

I am so glad I purchased his book, I loved it! I just want more!!!!! This one gets 5 stars from me!
