The detail of the military analysis coupled with personal accounts consistently follows the precedent set by this author for his authoritative scholarly works on the German/Russian conflict. The listener is introduced to the brutality and horrors of the Russian campaign to bring the German army to its knees in the final moments of WW2 prior to the attack on Berlin. Prit Buttar is a master at bringing the vast aspects of the conflict on the Eastern Front to the listener. Once you begin this book it will not be easy to stop listening until the climatic conclusion.
