Publisher's Summary

From USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a small town, neighbors to lovers romance.

Memphis Ward arrives in Quincy, Montana, on the fifth worst day of her life. She needs a shower. She needs a snack. She needs some sanity. Because moving across the country with her newborn baby is by far the craziest thing she’s ever done.

But maybe it takes a little crazy to build a good life. If putting the past behind her requires a thousand miles and a new town, she’ll do it if it means a better future for her son. Even if it requires setting aside the glamour of her former life. Even if it requires working as a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn and living in an apartment above a garage.

It’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on. Knox Eden is a beautiful, sinful dream, a chef and her temporary landlord. With his sharp, stubbled jaw and tattooed arms, he’s raw and rugged and everything she’s never had - and never will. Because after the first worst day of her life, Memphis learned a good life requires giving up on her dreams too. And a man like Knox Eden will only ever be a dream.

So many great tropes!

Hands-down I was already gonna love this one. It has two of my favourite tropes ever single parent and small town romance.

After listening to the bonus epilogue in Indigo Ritch where Win met Memphis. I already knew the story was going to be wild ride. Memphis is such a unique character. She comes from a wealthy family in New York City and goes on her own with her two month old baby to Juniper Hill. I really admire her. I know it wasn’t easy and I have a soft spot for her.

Knox… Where do I even begin with him. He is one smoke and hot tattooed man. I loved how caring he was towards Memphis and Drake. He also went through his own battles himself which was so heartbreaking. After he opened up about it to Memphis I was kind of wondering what this would mean between the two of them and how the story would continue. But thank God Deveney Perry rights mature characters and there’s not any silly, toxic drama that occurs.

I’m so grateful this series has such great narrators. Without them the story wouldn’t be the same.

I loved the whole atmosphere at Juniper Hill. I just love the small town of Quincy in general. i’m easily falling in love with The Eden series.

Single Parent Romance

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Burn: 🔥🔥🔥
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Swoon: 😍😍😍😍😍

Knox Eden...that could easily be my whole review and add his character in Jason Clarke's voice and I was immediately melting. Just imagine a sexy, grumpy, lumberjack type chef, who calls her nicknames (honey), talks to a baby in the middle of the night (hey boss), and just loves so deeply.

Then you add Maxine into the mix as Memphis and it is the absolute perfect combination.

This was an emotional rollercoaster, I connected with Memphis in such an organic way, as a mom and as a woman. We are constantly wondering if we are good enough and it's the people around us who can help us silence that voice or amplify it. Memphis deserved someone like Knox to build her up and help her discover her confidence.

p.s. I will stand on my soapbox Jill is a B.I.T.C.H. and you can not change my mind.

Wasn't as a good a the first book

This book had a great small-town romance vibe. The thing that didn't keep me wanting to come back was; the Inconsistent plot, it jumped around too much. I wish that all of the drama didn't happen in the last 15% of the book.
I did enjoy the romance between the two main characters and the dual perspective of the couple, but the big city problem trying to squish them into a small town didn't fit as well as it could in my option. I do love the family dynamic and how each book has been about a specific sibling with still learning more and more about the others in each book.
