Publisher's Summary

She’s the woman he can’t live without.

He can’t risk screwing up their relationship by sleeping with her.

Linc Kingston doesn’t accept anything less than perfection. Not in his billion-dollar business or in his personal life. He has it all, except one thing: his personal assistant and best friend in his bed, moaning his name. No matter how much Linc wants her, she’s completely off-limits.

Jordan Greene grew up the daughter of the housekeeper at the Kingston estate, where she met and bonded with Linc at a young age, despite their economic differences. But no matter how close they are now or how much their attraction simmers beneath the surface, they’re still from two different worlds. Besides, Jordan isn’t about to risk losing her best friend for one sensual night.

Jordan might be the only woman who can handle Linc and his domineering, bossy attitude, but beneath that gruff exterior is a vulnerable man who, despite his wealth, has had a less-than-charmed life. And when Linc’s father dies, she’s there for him - unwavering in her friendship.

Until one night of passion and a positive pregnancy test changes everything.

Great story & narration

I really enjoyed this story by Carly Phillips and it was a great start to this new series. I love Connor Crais’ voice and have always been a fan of his narration. Mackenzie Cartwright is a newer narrator to me and I think she did a wonderful job.

Too short

Love the story, but the book is way too short. Please make the next ones longer.

Pleasantly Surprised!

This is a “new to me” author. I was intrigued by the storyline in the blurb, already loved the narrators and was happy to check out a “free” listen. This is one of the better books I’ve read in a while. I didn’t lose interest, was invested in the main characters as well as the side characters’ stories, and didn’t want the book to end. I was honestly sad this book wasn’t longer. That’s my major complaint. Beautiful job, Carly…you have my attention! Five stars all-around! Highly recommend!!

Great new series

Jordan and Linc are so great. I love that they work so well together. Friends to lovers are always a great read. Getting see linc meeting his sister from his side of the story was so good and bonus. Getting to know the siblings just got me wanting to know more. Carly Phillips never disappoints I could not put this read down the friends I- love and understanding between these two characters. Great beginning to a new series and family. Narration is great and keeps you interested

Great start to the series

The is book is a great start to a series about the Kingston family. This book has one of my favorite tropes best friends to lovers I wish the story was a little bit longer but I have a feeling the stories of the rest of the Kingston siblings will get their just due.

Good story

Enjoyed the story. I would have been okay with a little less juicy words. Also the male reader trying to use female voice...not so much. Other good listen.

Not for me

I did not finish this book. I could not get past the narration of a man speaking in a woman’s voice. I feel that narration of a Book can make or break the story. No judgement I’m sure many people enjoyed this book it was just not for me.

Not exciting at all

Male lead was rather chauvainistic unfortunately, seemingly without any narrative reason (he doesn't get redeemed or anything). Story was boring, predictable and the narration was monotone, which is not something you'd expect in scenes meant to be exciting or convey emotion, and it made deciphering which character was speaking difficult, even though there was no point to knowing who said what. Like a Hallmark movie.

Good listen

Communication is the biggest issue in this book. Ugh! Overall it’s a good book though.
