Publisher's Summary

A Horus Heresy: Primarchs novel

Few among the legendary primarchs are as feared as Konrad Curze, the Night Haunter. Even before his fall to darkness, he was a sinister legend, a remorseless killer. This is his story.

Listen to it because:

The Night Haunter is a fascinating character, a man who could have been a hero, but for the daemons that plague him, the result of his nightmarish visions of a future he helps to create. Guy Haley delves into this lord of the night, in a story you'll never forget…

The story:

Of all the Emperor’s immortal sons, the primarchs, it is Konrad Curze whose legend is the darkest. Born in the shadows of Nostramo, a world of murderers, thieves and worse, is it any surprise that he became the figure of dread known only as the Night Haunter? Heed now the tragic story of the creature Konrad Curze, master of the Night Lords Legion, of how he became a monster and a weapon of terror. He who once served the Imperium saw the truth in a maddening universe and the hypocrisy of a loveless father, and embraced the only thing that made any sense - darkness. From the blood-soaked gutters of his hiveworld upbringing, to the last days of his ill-fated existence, Curze is a primarch like no other and his tale is one to chill the very bone....

Great look into Curze's character

A good creative way of delving into Curze's character and his motivations.
Only complaints are that the book can get a little carried away with the gore, it always seemed to me that a primarch obsessed with fear would find means other than torture and gory violence to instill fear.
Also I have no idea where the narrator was going with Sevatar's voice, it's almost unintelligible. he mumbles so much of his dialogue that I found the scenes containing him to be confusing.

An insane man's confession

absolutely thrilling. A fantastically written story read by the prefect narrator. Everything comes together marvelously to create an enriched and gripping narrative to allow the reader/ listener the ability to see both flawed aspects of the character. A must read for any fans of the Nighthaunter, or of tragedies.

good look into curze

great way to learn more about the primarch of the XIII legion. lacks a bit of "what he did", but compensate with a lot of "who he is". good VA too

Amazing!

I didn’t know much about Curze and the NL. I just thought they were crazy. Guy Haley depicts a realistic and believable back story to Cruze and NL. Great read. Worth it.
