À propos de cet audio

A revolutionary technology. A sinister foe. A desperate fight for survival.

Get the complete Last Light series and see why listeners call Mike Kraus "the love child of Stephen King and Michael Crichton."

When a new drilling method enables access to a deep source of renewable energy, all expectations are that Ultilitron will champion a new era in electricity production.

When the lights go out and the killing starts, the country's emotions quickly turn from elation to fear.

As a sinister foe emerges from the shadows, the survivors of the initial disaster must band together to survive, lest their lights be snuffed out like the countless others before them....

*****

An intensely thrilling and terrifyingly nail-biting series, Last Light is a post-apocalyptic adventure from Justin Bell and Mike Kraus like you've never seen before. Taking the tropes of post-apocalyptic and simultaneously turning them on their head and masterfully playing to them, Justin and Mike deliver a heart-pounding series that will both excite and terrify you with every chapter. In this complete edition of Last Light, you get the entire series (Last Light, Cold Snap, Dark Void, Hard Road, Dead Wrong, Into the Fire, Slow Burn, and Final Darkness) all in one package.

I live in Ottawa Cnd and it is the capital of Canada. It is a city of 1 million inhabitants, not a tundra with mineral resources. I am not sure why he chose Ottawa but with a little research on the internet he could have found a mining city within the province of Ontario. I have travelled the USA a bit and have found that the people I encountered had little to no factual information about our great country, with all the turmoil caused by trumps rhetoric I find it a bit of a insult .

Ottawa Canada is not a tundra.

From start to finish it was an incredible ride! From the very first page I knew this was going to be good. Not only am I a fan of the authors but this story was absolutely fantastic. The narrator was superb and how he used his voice for so many characters really made this book real.
I do have one problem with the story and that is the factual inaccuracies of the Ottawa area. Ottawa does NOT have a tundra…a tundra is basically the dividing line between the tree line and open area where no trees will grow. Ottawa is the capital of Canada 🇨🇦 and in the summer months is lush and green as well as experiencing hot weather. If the authors meant Ontario then you would need to travel many hours north by air to reach the remoteness of Arctic region. Canada 🇨🇦 is a very rich and diverse country whose landscape and climate is not unlike northern US~New York, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Montana, Washington. To write this story in such a way that someone could believe that once you hit Canadian border that we live in perpetual winter and that Canada 🇨🇦 is just some country that is devoid of life.
Other then that I found it really good. Very interesting plot line.

Very interesting twist on the typical PA plots…

truly one of the worst titles in this genre I’ve listened to in two years. Weak concept to begin with; I mean subterranean, six legged dogs with 12 eyes?! The authors contradict themselves regularly in their physical and behavioural descriptions of these unbelievable creatures. Details about hunting which is described often are just obviously written by someone who knows nothing about it or basic physiology.
Who’s editing this crap and publishing it?!
I see why it’s free.

Do authors even research anymore?
