Elite Medical Advice

I was excited about this book. But within a few chapters I realized that most of the content refers to medical treatments only available to rich people. Obviously at the end it touches on the basics, sleep, nutrition, stuff you can research on the internet or you know but just aren’t doing.

Like who can afford to go to Spain and all these other places and doctors to get a million opinions and state of the art treatments.

Most people have limited options because they’re health care or benefits only cover certain accepted treatments. I found this so fricken annoying. Like if I was a gazillionaire like Robbins of course I would be tapping into everything possible to recover and heal and slow the aging process.

Even the medical advancements that are covered in this will take god knows how many years if ever before it’s available to the everyday person, working full time and struggling to pay bills. Kinda a slap in the face. (Well except for the elite)

Disappointed in the end

This is a long book- but it needs to be as there is so much good news out there and I believe Tony is more than scratching the surface. I go way back listening to Tony Robbins- way back. I still have the 12 cassette program I bought in 1990. Anyhow, this is about his latest book which reads a lot like a commercial-advertising for stuff you want, need, and cannot afford. But if you can afford it, you’re one of those folks in the top 1%, the wealthy. Not the regular cabin fare folk like me.
I appreciated hearing of all the great technology for heart mind and body health. Just what I wanted! Really! I’ve been socking away some cash for a new scuba set up, but when I heard this book, I was like, Hell with the scuba gear, we’re gonna get some tests! I truly want to know where I’m at in health terms.
I eat a plant based diet for nearly 4 years. Vegetarian for 3 years before that. I bicycle, run, swim and pump iron as much as I can. But I don’t get enough sleep for sure. I was on high blood pressure meds for 35 years and got off them a few years ago, finally. So tests are what I need to see exactly where I am in the health lifeline. But not to be had.
Do Some research, and you will uncover that, in order to get these tests at FountainLife, you’ll need to dole out TODAY (no payment terms) $19,500 to get the battery of tests Tony speaks so fondly of in his book. That’s not a misprint friends. Now subsequent years are $5K cheaper and so are family members!
The book, is really a verbal brochure for Fountain Life. It’s an ad to get financial backers for elite health clinics. I’d never heard the term concierge doctor before this book. But what i envisioned it meant is exactly true. It’s elite health care. Tony mentions at least a dozen times, different projects/companies that he is an investor in. I cannot imagine how many places he invests in. This isn’t sour grapes what I’m writing. I think it’s great that the wealthy invest in to give back. But in the end, these investments more time than not pay back nicely. It gets mundane hearing. I’m an investor in……
He’s not bragging, it’s disclosure, and it’s said very matter of factly.
Tony mentions in the book he has at least 12 PEMF machines. Checking into this technology, the cheapest one is $13,500. (And he owns 12?!) I’d buy one of his extras from him. Actually why buy. They’re obviously worthless old technology he could probably donate a unit to me, or someone in need.
I still respect the guy (and his investor book buddies too.)
For a lot of people listening to this book, the info is a fantastical pipe dream.
So at least for now, I will have to bank on my good diet and activity level to lead me to and keep me in, good health. The technology to PROVE to me, my family and friends does not exist in our world. And I thought my leading by example was going to finally get some much needed support!
So in the end, even with all the good news, the greatest new technology and the great stories of success, it’s not for the lions share of people. (Yet)

Brutal

I tried to get into this, but it reads more like a giant sensationalized advertisement. Can find no support for most of the great breakthrough treatments he is describing, so clearly it is not accessible to the general public, if it is available at all short of going to Mexico. And the subtext is all about Tony and him investing in all of these companies... more hype from TR that doesn't add up to much unfortunately.

A wealth of health knowledge

As like many Tony Robbins fans I believed this book to be a little more upbeat. There’s definitely some chapters and narrations that can get a little bit dry, but the information regardless is immensely important in helping people understand health overall for the world is making huge advancements, and most people would never know about majority of this. Just like Tony tells you in the beginning chapters of the book. This book is not meant to be read front to back because it can be an overwhelming wealth of knowledge. It’s meant to be looked at chapter by chapter for whatever health section intrigues you or hits home with you or someone you know. I would 100% recommend this book to anybody who is looking to advance their own life healthwise, as well as to recommend it to anyone who is currently struggling healthwise.

moving stories with actionable steps

it was a long book but worth it. I've since begun making small changes in my life that I've already started to feel the difference.
I don't believe every chapter will apply to everyone but this is the book to get you started on the future of health and what you can do about it today.

Intresting, great information for the wealthy.

I really wanted to like this book. It has some great information. The narrators were not great. It also points out the difference between health care for the wealthy and healthy care for guy working 9-5 and has the companies health insurance. Tony Robbins talks about how stem cells help with his broken arm. My husband shattered his elbow a few years ago when he fell at work. He is however self employed and retired Military. I am sure stem cells would have or maybe still could help him. But we have military health insurance and stem cells are not covered. A trip over seas to pay for stem cell treatment out of pocket is not in out future. When the topic of full body MRI as early detection for cancer I returned the book. When I developed a drop foot and need spinal fusion it looks 4 attempts to get a pre-approval for an isolated MRI. Yes there are exciting super cool new treatments on the horizon but until heath insurance becomes about wellness, prevention, and the whole person and not about money it is a mute point. I will buy the book again when I win lottery.

Great information

The only problem Is that since I first heard him in the mid 90’s, Tony Robbins continually brags about who he knows and what he has accomplished. He does this in each of his books, podcasts, tapes etc. He tries to seem so above all of us. Just get to the point.

Lots of NEW Information On Healing Disease

Lots of information on new treatments currently available, and upcoming on the cutting edge of medical technology. I have read about four chapters so far, and this looks like there are some real answers instead of just covering up the pain.
Robbins brought a bunch of top medical professionals together to address what is ailing us worldwide. What to do. How to do it. Where to get it. He used some of the included treatments to heal his own injuries without surgery. Very promising stuff I cant wait to try for me and my family's medical issues. This is not your average doctor treatments which just address the symptoms.

Hyped book to upsell you products or real info?

Still debating given the info in the book is good and actionable but deeply conflicted about Tony and his team are just trying to sell you products/diagnostics and vitamins of companies they have invested in!
Health is an area where if you create a compelling story you will want to buy those products in the interest of more vitality or longevity
It’s a slippery slope
Big fan of Tony - last few chapters are great though - and some of the info is really interesting - but beware of potential for “heavily biased” products. Info in general is also pretty good and well researched. Would give it 5 stars if I didn’t have the perception of “cross selling me” products he has a financial interest on.

I just paid to be exposed to a list of ads

The book is like watching tv late at night, one ad after the other. There are so many company plugs that it is leading me to believe that’s the whole purpose of the book. I haven’t finished the book yet but I am strongly compelled to write this review. If my mind changes towards the end I will edit the review.
So far I feel like I am being bombarded by ads.

Good Information but Often Feels Like a Commercial

There is plenty of good information but the entire work feels to me like it is a giant promotion for companies Tony Robbins has a financial interest in. I personally am ok with targeted advertisements especially if it could benefit me or my family. As usual with his books, the information is well-presented and well-written. I have personal knowledge of many of the therapies he describes in the book and I believe he is going in the right direction with his message. I am a fan overall of his works as he generally sparks people to act or put focus on key areas of life which in general leads to improvements in my opinion.

I agree: It's an ad

I love Tony. I love Peter. If you read Peter's books, and you are up to date on the space, there's little that's new in here.

This really feels like they are just using this book to pitch companies they have invested in. They're fine donating all profits from the book because it's going to generate stupid amounts of profits. I'm okay when authors have other products, and even when they mention them, but this reads like a listing of all products they have invested in, rather than a read about future technology.

I love this topic, and I'm a big fan of Tony, but this feels like a cash grab.

Additionally, the narrator was way too dull to capture the book's voice. And he didn't even know how to pronounce Peters name.

All in all, this was a rushed work that is likely intended to sell products and services.
