this was a gross book, the MC's are step parent and child. I like a good age gap romance, but this story is just yuck! i dont care about the age gap, but I really do care that the male character was married to and had a loving sexual relationship with the female leads mother at the start of the book. You might argue and say well sometime people can't help it if they are attracted to another adult, but im gonna say just a big big NO!" This man had been in the female leads life as her stepdad since she was a child (10 years old). Even if I could put aside the eww (groomy vibes) of that (nope), I definitely can not put aside that if you think about it, this dude is nasty. He has had sex with both the mother and the daughter. I'm of the opinion that if you can say to a sexual partner, "That's not how your mom does it," then it's just gross, gross, gross. The ick factor was just way too high for me, so I dnf and returned. This was kinda like border line incest in my opinion (I get they aren't bio related but dude raised her!) He even talks about how he taught her to ride a bike as a kid, i really can't stress enough how gross I found this
