Publisher's Summary

They say love comes from the most unexpected places. I found mine hiding in my bushes from the cops.

My life before Luke was a carefully structured routine. It was predictable and organized, just the way I like it. Some would call it boring, but I call it smart self-preservation. If there’s one thing that could threaten to bring it all crashing down, it’s Luke van Beek.

He swept into my world like a tropical cyclone, all hot and chaotic, and tore down my safeguards. Now I can’t seem to rid myself of this charming, larger-than-life, ridiculous man. He’s invaded my personal space, my mind, and my bed.

He’s tempting me in ways I haven’t been tempted before and I’m going to have to teach him a lesson about what happens to naughty boys when they misbehave.

But can my last remaining boundary, the wall I’ve built around my heart, withstand the man who lives to break all the rules? Either way, it seems, my life after Luke will never be the same.

Luke is a funny and steamy M/M romance that features a transgender main character and a grumpy/sunshine trope.

Too Rushed.

The stories in this series seem to be shorter, and too rushed as they progress into the next book. Still not a fan of Alexander’s take on his performances of each character. He makes them sound like jokes. Just too chaotic. Gives me a headache.

Beautiful story of letting go of the past

Narration was perfect!! Love all Cora’s books. The perfect amount of angst and spice! Luke is amazingly calm and levelheaded! So in love with this book!

Luke by Cora Rose - 3⭐️

Tropes/Themes:
-MM contemporary romance
-Cis Hero x Trans hero (FtM)
-Grump x Sunshine
-Obsessed (stalker) hero
-Fun side characters (both old and new faces in the series)
-Dual POV
-Book #4 in an interconnected standalone series

This series has been completely over the top and a little cringey to best honest, but there’s just something about these couples that keeps bringing me back. The 3rd act conflict was really annoying and was dragged out way too long, but I still found this to be entertaining overall.

CWs for transphobia, toxic relationships

Too Rushed

This story had so much potential and parts of it I really loved. However, the relationship between Elliot and Luke felt incredibly rushed, especially since Elliot acted completely put off by Luke for the longest time.
The sex and angst were both great, but the rest was just not well-paced.
Also, the choice for narrators ruined a lot of it. Elliot, a very serious man, sounded like a surfer dude, and Luke sounded as though he could still be in high school.

so so

I found the characters annoying and 2 ends of extremes. the st9ry felt disjointed and fragmented together as though 2 ghost writers didn't communicate at times.

Giggled out loud a few times 😂

I loved Luke and Elliott's story! I know trans is still a lot for some to fully and truly understand, and I think the author did an amazing job with both the physical and mental aspects throughout the story.
Love IS Love, but you must start with yourself so I enjoyed reading Elliott's full acceptance and love for who he is in and out.
And having a big loveable goof like Luke barging into his life ended up being exactly what he never knew he needed.
