Our current definition of “productivity” is broken. It pushes us to treat busyness as a proxy for useful effort, leading to impossibly lengthy task lists and ceaseless meetings. We’re overwhelmed by all we have to do and on the edge of burnout, left to decide between giving into soul-sapping hustle culture or rejecting ambition altogether. But are these really our only choices?

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Publisher's Summary
AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
The founder and CEO of AppSumo.com, Noah Kagan, knows how to launch a seven-figure business in a single weekend—and he’s done it seven times. Million Dollar Weekend will show you how.
Now is the best time in history for entrepreneurship. More than ever, the world needs new businesses and it’s cheaper than ever to create them.
And, let’s be frank: most day jobs suck. People spend too much time doing too much work for too little money—and they know it. They want out.
But, if the barriers to starting a business are getting lower and lower, why is it SO HARD TO DO for SO MANY PEOPLE? Why are there so many wantrepreneurs playing at business on social media and so few entrepreneurs actually running them?
Ask yourself:
- Do you want to work for yourself, or start a side-hustle, but it all feels too risky and unpredictable?
- Have you spent time or money on things like websites and logos, but still have no customers?
- Are you brainstorming endlessly and waiting for the perfect idea to strike?
All those Frequent Excuses are solvable. The plan is simple—so simple it can be completed in a single weekend, but so powerful that Kagan has used it to build seven businesses now worth more than $1 million:
- Find your Creator’s Courage to overcome your fear and have fun!
- Use the "Million Dollar Weekend" Process to get customers EXCITED to give you money.
- Automate your business so it can grow while you sleep.
By Monday, you’ll have a market-tested, scalable business idea and you’ll be a entrepreneur on the path to seven figures. Million Dollar Weekend is the path to creating your dream life and attaining financial freedom. LFG.
What the critics say
“Essential reading for the modern entrepreneur. If you're looking for a book that instills confidence and fun into starting a business, this is it. I LOVE how he focuses on overcoming fear, not spending any money and making it happen all in a weekend."—Marie Forleo, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Everything is Figureoutable
“I admire Noah. This guy has put in the hard work for many years and I’ve watched him stay relevant & put up wins time and time again. I continue to cheer for him!”—Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO of Vaynermedia and Veefriends, five-time New York Times bestselling author
“Noah Kagan changed my life. I created a business because of him. That business went on to sell for tens of millions of dollars. His writing and ideas are easy to follow and incredibly entertaining. Million Dollar Weekend is the real deal.”—Sam Parr, founder of Hampton and The Hustle, host of My First Million

I’ve always kind of known that I’m an overplanner/overthinker, but this book has completely called me out.
Get customers and don’t be afraid to ask for things… those were the two biggest takeaways for myself.

Bought the hard copy & Audible!
You can tell Noah genuinely cares. I’m notorious for doing a whole lot of thinking without a lot of action. Also have a tendency for shiny object syndrome. This booked helped me shift my mindset from “how” to “now”. Funny how when you start taking action, the rest finds a way of figuring itself out. Thanks Noah!

motivational, practical, simple, inspirational
GREAT stuff. @noah, mazel tov on this epic book. I bought this after listening to noah on tim ferris podcast (amazing pod). noah seems like a genuine, no bs type guy. as many practical/useful tips as this book has. it's the mindset that he preaches that I think will help me the most. oh and all the parts about his relationship with his dad and the way he imitates him reminded me of my relationship with my grandfather. i had been looking to start my own business for a couple months and the words of wisdom in this book helped me finally do it. THANKS NOAH. be on the lookout for my ask at some point. - Jordan L from Montreal
