Publisher's Summary
This book includes correspondence (and context for understanding it) from Mother Teresa's early years in religious life and throughout her years as founder of a new religious community. This correspondence reveals Mother Teresa's struggles, doubts, and her sense of abandonment by God. These revelations can encourage and strengthen us as she reveals her abiding faith despite darkness and trials.
Missionary of Charity Father Brian Kolodiejchuk met Mother Teresa in 1977 and joined the Missionaries of Charity Fathers at the time of their foundation in 1984. He is postulator of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of Mother Teresa of Calcutta and director of the Mother Teresa Center.

Sappy Narration
The story is good but one of the female narrators, who speaks in Mother Teresa's voice, is so overly dramatic that she is annoying and not at all believable. I find it hard to imagine Mother speaking like this -- a cross between a robot and a purposefully melodramatic old Dame. I had looked forward to this audiobook but now I'm finding it difficult to actually listen to it.

the depth of Mother Teresa
This was incredible to listen to. The first half could be very difficult to listen to as her pain and darkness was so deep. I alternated between this and another book of hers. However, as she came to surrender to her suffering the atmosphere of the book changed. May her soul rest in the great assurance of Gods love for her.
Many blessings for those who put this book together.

Amazing Example of Hollyness
Wonderful book describing the calling and formation of the Missionaries of Charity. Surprising to learn of Mother Teresa's internal darkness.

Beautiful. Inspirational.
Most beautiful book about a Catholic I’ve encountered. I will re-read it again because it’s that inspirational and beautiful.
