Zombie action in the Maritimes

Well I really enjoyed this book. I found myself listening for 2 or 3 hours at a time, fully engulfed by the story. It has a fairly standard outline, for a zombie tale, but there are some original bits. The tension and action build nicely. You can feel it coming. The violence is graphic and described in gruesome detail. The narrator is superb. He jumps from character to character with unbelievable consistency and speed. I loved the fact that it took place in Nova Scotia and yet it’s not a slave to the locale. The story will appeal to all zombie and action/horror fans. I did, however, enjoy the low key Canadianisms and helps to maintain the contemporary zombie story adage that this “turn,” or whatever you want to call it, could take place anywhere, anytime, and what would YOU do? One more comment and I have to repeat how good the narrator is, but he’s definitely not a Canadian. Because there was one word he pronounced incorrectly. Only ONE word. That was his only flaw but after about the tenth time it became very annoying. But I got over it. I would absolutely recommend this book to all lovers of this genre.

I was hooked after Hospital, and now can't wait to complete the series. Fun, violent exciting.

Good read that gets right into the nuts and bolts

Story was good, RC Bray was brilliant as always in his narration. I like how it jumped right into the story, no agonizing backstory. I wouldn't call this horror by any means, typical zombie movie where there characters are not idiots like on The Walking Dead. Shows how even there are few people around, people can lose their sanity and become different than they could ever manage, while others just try to keep the hope of a sense of community

RC Bray and + kc Blackwell = WOW!

Rc Bray is my favourite narrator and this story is very good. Riveting actually if you loved the hell divers or the extinction Series this series is for you

Delightfully entertaining & Nova Scotia-based

Listened to this in one big chunk because I couldn’t stop. I am from Nova Scotia and was delighted to realize this is where these books are set. I just started listening to RC Bray as a narrator before this series and he makes me chuckle no matter what he’s reading. He is an extremely talented narrator, and he made this book an easy listen. On to the next in the series.

Easy Fun Listen

Wow! Nice one. Pleasantly surprised at this thoroughly entertaining high quality zombie romp that takes place in my home province. Bravo. Looking forward to 2.

Great Narration really great story.

I think this should be made into a movie or a tv series it’s way better and more realistic than other zombie books, movies and a rather popular tv series.
