Thinking that she has been summoned by German immigrant Agnes Otto to usher a new life into the world, midwife Sarah Brandt is greeted by the news of an untimely death instead. Predictable killer but entertaining story

Although I was able to guess the killer very early on, I still enjoyed listening to the story unfold. The exciting moments of tension and action were well written and the narrator is excellent.
Am enjoyable, light listen for lovers of cozy mysteries and historical fiction.
