Sylvain Neuvel has a talent for depicting what it is to truly be human through the thoughtfulness of his characters. The plot was compelling as always, I only wish it could go on for hours more!
All in all another 5/5 star book by my favourite author.

For a short story, this plot had details, twists, personality and no cliffhanger ending. I generally don't like full cast readings. the combination of voices and characters in this felt right. It is a good story and a relaxing listen.

This short piece has a big impact. The mystery central to the plot is great fun in and of itself, while ultimately delivering a deeper message that is unexpectedly moving.

First Contact, how do you think it would go? Would you send the first message? In hopes of communicating with someone, something, somewhere beyond your knowledge? What if you did it by accident?

The best of their fields have been called together in a secluded location to decipher a mysterious wave of beeps that have been picked up. But where do you start? How can they gain plausible facts?

An excellent view is shared with the reader, to be able to follow this group as tensions run high, emotions bubble over, and facts blur together.

The Full Cast Narration fits perfectly with the story writing style and helps to give individual life to each character.
