About this listen
Organizing Solutions for People with ADD, 2nd Edition outlines new organizing strategies that will be of value to anyone who wants to improve their organizational skills. This revised and updated version also includes tips and techniques for keeping your latest technologies in order and for staying green and recycling with ease.
Attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are prevalent in society today, afflicting about 4.4 percent of the adult population - over 13 million Americans. Four out of every five adults do not even know they have ADD.
The chapters, organized by the type of room or task, consist of practical organizing solutions for people living with ADD:
- At work: prioritizing, time management, and organizing documents
- At home: paying bills on time, decluttering your house, scheduling and keeping appointments
- With kids: driving them to various activities, grocery shopping and meals, laundry, babysitters, organizing drawers and closets
- And you: organizing time for your social life, gym, and various other hobbies and activities

Great information!
This is a great book for people looking for new ways to accomplish household tasks for people with ADHD. My recommendation would be to include a downloadable PDF file so one can easily review these ideas when attempting to organize the house. It is cumbersome to take notes to review later and time-consuming to have to listen repeatedly to remember the author's helpful hints.
I would definitely encourage people to listen to this book for some ingenious new ways to get your rooms in order!

Great book for ADHD people
Love the way it is presented and explained. Found lots of ideas that are functioning for me in areas of myself where I was always stressed about.

Dated advice and repetitive ideas
It's dated. I won't keep a note book by my home phone. And I don't need to pay someone to tell me to keep a notebook.
A lot of advice is repeated 2, 3 or 4 times in the book. Is it to compensate for lack of ideas?
Performance of the reader is ok but not spectacular. A little bit on the flat side.
Overall, not worth the price.

Outdated and simplistic
this book was outdated and simplistic. Too much time was spent in the office section discussing and setting up paper systems? There was a little or no attention based on modern workflow that is digital. As we strive towards a paperless Society,, these guides become outdated and simplistic.
Perhaps it just wasn’t ideal for me, but may be ideal for people struggling to cope with ADHD in the home. Presentation is good, story doesn’t really apply but I will ask Amazon to replace this with something more modern workflow-based.
