About this listen
Number one New York Times best-selling author Sandra Brown combines heart-stopping suspense and forbidden passion in this psychological thriller about an FBI agent's hunt for a ruthless conman turned serial killer.
Sure to keep listeners on the edges of their seats, this new novel will feature Brown's signature combination of steamy romance and jaw-dropping plot twists.
FBI agent Drex Easton is relentlessly driven by a single goal: to outmaneuver the con man once known as Weston Graham. Over the past 30 years, Weston has assumed many names and countless disguises, enabling him to lure eight wealthy women out of their fortunes before they disappeared without a trace, their families left without answers and the authorities without clues. The only common trait among the victims: a new man in their life who also vanished, leaving behind no evidence of his existence...except for one signature custom.
Drex is convinced that these women have been murdered and that the man he knows as Weston Graham is the sociopath responsible. But each time Drex gets close to catching him, Weston trades one persona for another and disappears again. Now, for the first time in their long game of cat and mouse, Drex has a suspect in sight.
Attractive and charming, Jasper Ford is recently married to a successful businesswoman many years his junior, Talia Shafer. Drex insinuates himself into their lives, posing as a new neighbor and setting up surveillance on their house. The closer he gets to the couple, the more convinced he becomes that Jasper is the clever, merciless predator he's sought - and that his own attraction to Talia threatens to compromise his purpose and integrity.
This is Drex's one chance to outfox his cunning nemesis before he murders again and eludes justice forever. But first he must determine if the desirable Talia is a heartless accomplice...or the next victim.

"Narrator Victor Slezak maneuvers listeners through the cat-and-mouse game being played by FBI agent Drex Easton and the serial killer who murdered his mother.... Slezak's calm and cool voice keeps the listener's rapt attention whether he's describing romantic moments or diving into the complicated mind of a killer on a spree." (AudioFile)

Great Story With Poor Narration
"Seeing Red" is my favorite Sandra Brown book. This is almost as good. Some aspects will require you to suspend your disbelief, but is still definitely worth reading if you like suspense with a dash of romance.
The narrators hissing sibilant "s" was definitely distracting and negatively impacted the listening pleasure.
A note to Hachette Audio -- I wish you would get rid of the cheesy music that gives a dated, melodramatic feel to the beginning and end of your audiobooks.

A Stellar Sandra Brown Intro
Outfox is my first ever audible read of Sandra Brown’s work. The story was compelling, believable, and the characters thoroughly engaging. I found the mystery to be heart wrenching at times and maybe even disturbing as I became more and more drawn in. The romance could be developed more beyond the sexual prowess, but an excellently woven story.

Don't pass this one up...
The listen kept me entertained from start to finish. I'm looking forward to my next Sandra Brown novel. As much as the story was enjoyable, the narrator, Victor Slezak, does a masterful job. Absolutely no complaints from me...

Horrible Reader
I thought the 'S" ... horrible lisping kind of speech impediment wouldn't be too off-putting, but by the end of the story, it was more than too much!
It wasn't just off-putting, it detracted greatly from the credibility of the book itself.
I'll never buy a book again by this reader and will definitely pursue a refund for the agony this otherwise good book cost.
