On his way to his betrothal, young Lord Penric comes upon a riding accident with an elderly lady on the ground, her maidservant and guardsmen distraught. Another Joy from Bujold

Not at all your usual 'boy meets demon' story. More a tale of goodness an innocence overcoming obstacles. Loved it and look forward the further tales of Penric and Desdemona.

I quite liked the reader. He is very accomplished at conveying the emotions of the various characters and his changes in voice and accent are very well done.
