À propos de cet audio
Queen Isadora reigns with secrets and lies and will do whatever it takes to keep her throne, including killing the rightful heir.
Hunted by the queen, Kenna is thrust into the center of a rebellion that seeks to end her tyranny. Now, she must learn what it means to rise up and rule, but does she have what it takes? Or will the cost of the rebellion be more than she can give? As the stirrings of war threaten to tear the country apart, Kenna must fight to hold her Chosen together before they too become another causality.
Rebel and Reign is a reverse-harem novel where the heroine doesn’t have to choose just one mate.

That said, the characters and plot are even better, but do have minor flaws as well. As a piece of constructive criticism: it's a little difficult to follow the story at times entirely because the male leads are all so similar they are sometimes difficult to tell apart, and if I somehow miss who is being addressed, or who is talking when the author outright tells us, I have to rewind a little to know because they aren't distinguishable enough without their names, that I can tell. I have finally gotten to a point where I know who each of her chosen are, and what species they are as well as magical affiliation and/or the animal they shift to, but they all speak in a similar way, and it's confusing. I don't mean their voices souch as what they are saying, is what is so similar.
I swear to gods, if someone says "sexy as fuck" ONE MORE TIME... well nothing, but that's something only one of them should say, and yet they all do. As well, some of the interactions are so incredibly repetitive it reminds me of when I was in high school and would copy and paste parts of an essay so I had a longer word count.
One part in particular that was bad for this was one of the times Kenna was saying bye to all of them and she did and said the same thing to each of them. Had I written the story it would have read: "...Kenna wished the rest of her men a good night before heading that way herself."
The plot was also rather predictable, but that is also a minor issue.
I love the world and the characters within and this is what keeps me coming back for more.
As for the narrators, the male is okay, but the female narrator has a little bit of trouble with pairing her expressions with the ones on the pages. A good example of this is actually after the book when she says: "I promise we won't spam you." The tone is so off that I would be surprised if they didn't spam peoples' inboxes. He sounded sarcastic in a spot where I am all but sure she was meant to portray a genuine statement.
At times this leaves Kenna sounding less empathetic than she is.
To be fair, although not as prevalent, when the male actor read one word sentences as Kenna, he made her sound rather robotic, which is exactly how her sentinel sounds all the time, when read by the female va.
I do love these books, and I need more. I will be buying the next one in the series with my saved up credits and it takes a lot for me to spend those!
