La Reggia ha così "anticipato l'aspetto esterno degli edifici del XVIII secolo e, allo stesso tempo, ha rappresentato il canto del cigno dell'arte spettacolare del Barocco, da cui ha adottato tutte le caratteristiche necessarie per creare l'illusione dello spazio multidirezionale".
