Publisher's Summary

Rock Paper Scissors is the latest exciting domestic thriller from the queen of the killer twist, New York Times best-selling author Alice Feeney.

Think you know the person you married? Think again....

Things have been wrong with Mr. and Mrs. Wright for a long time. When Adam and Amelia win a weekend away to Scotland, it might be just what their marriage needs. Self-confessed workaholic and screenwriter Adam Wright has lived with face blindness his whole life. He can’t recognize friends or family, or even his own wife.

Every anniversary the couple exchanges traditional gifts - paper, cotton, pottery, tin - and each year Adam’s wife writes him a letter that she never lets him read. Until now. They both know this weekend will make or break their marriage, but they didn’t randomly win this trip. One of them is lying, and someone doesn’t want them to live happily ever after.

Ten years of marriage. Ten years of secrets. And an anniversary they will never forget.

Better by audiobook than physical book, a must listen

Firstly, thank you for having both a male and female read this novel, it completely transforms the book to really make you believe in the characters and feel as if you are there. The British accents are lovely to listen to and easy to get wrapped up in.

Rock, Paper, Scissors is intelligent and has many layers to the plot. The author plays fair with the reader and leaves clues along the way, don’t get caught up in the red herrings if you can even spot them. The author isn’t afraid to work with different literary devices such as the unreliable narrator and different points of view including, past tense, present tense, first person and third person. The book is written with so many beautiful, poetic sentences; Feeney truly has a way with words that is captivating and magical. I really didn’t expect to fall in love with both the novel and author as much as I did.

Another amazing thriller by Feeney

This was FANTASTIC. Loved every second of it. The changes of perspectives and time keeps you on your toes and unsure of where the story is going, but every twist and turn makes perfect sense and feels so cohesive. I will be listening to His and Hers by this author next and I look forward to more great performances by these two narrators. Couldn’t recommend this enough

Not bad.

Not one of Feeney's best but still better than a lot of thrillers I've read. Some of the characters do a 180, which makes the story implausible.

However, there's some beautiful writing, and the narration is excellent.

Never a Dull Moment

The story kept you guessing until the very end by adding in new twists that built upon the plot in a seamless way. Really loved this book.

Incredible twist you won’t see coming

Wow! This book did not disappoint. The twist was one of the only ones I’ve never figured out with a thriller novel. So good! And the story itself is written in a very smart way that makes it hard to anticipate what is really going on. Well done!

Oh my goodness

Unexpected, a thrilling dramatic build-up that ends with the biggest plot twist I’ve ever read.

Meh. Made me sigh

I mean the twist is quite obvious and the characters are generic and un-likeable..

Lots unexpected twist & turns - a good read

Not sure why so many readers gave this book such low ratings...yes, there was lots of unexpected twist & turns but I didn't think they were a stretch...You read a thriller fiction to escape reality...that's why fiction is...thought the performances were great.
