Publisher's Summary

Payne:

In search of: Room to rent.

Must ignore the patheticness of a 40-year-old roommate.

Preferably dirt cheap as funds are tight (nonexistent).

There’s nothing sadder than moving back to my hometown newly divorced, homeless, and lost for what my next move is.

When my little brother’s best friend offers me a place to stay in exchange for menial duties, I swallow my pride and jump at the offer.

I need this.

I also need Beau to wear a shirt. And ditch the gray sweatpants. And not leave his door ajar when he’s in compromising positions...

Beau:

In search of: Roommate.

Must be non smoker and non douchebag.

Room payment to be made in meal planning, repairs, and dumb jokes.

Since my career took off, I barely have time to breathe, let alone keep my life in order. I’m naturally chaotic, make terrible decisions, and scare off potential dates with my “weirdness”.

So when Payne gets back into town and needs somewhere to stay, I offer him my spare room with one condition: While he’s staying with me, I need him to help me become date-able.

And while he does that, I can focus on my other plan: ignoring that Payne is the only man I’ve ever wanted to date.

Steamy!

Not a bad story but could have had more of a storyline. Narration was excellent as always. Hot sex scenes but kind of a lame ending.

True love doesn't judge. It is not blind either. Love just accepts regardless

As always Saxon James' amazing writing makes me want more. It's just way too short for me. I want to hear more of these men.
Both men and so lovely and not at all annoyingly self-sabotaging towards each other, unlike the other author's books.
Saxon James books are always so heart-melting from what I read so far.

I wish we could have a more extended story about these two lovely men after they committed to their relationship. I can never get enough of their sweet dates and hot steaming scenes together.

They show us the importance of communication, emotional connection, and understanding. It goes beyond comforting friendship and accepting someone for who they are. It's all that and so much more.

But also the emphatic emotional connection is the biggest factor for falling in love. Being with the same emotional wavelength as another man like when Beau gets as angry and broken as Payne when he told Beau told him about his story.
True love doesn't judge. It is not blind either. Love can see all we are. all our emotions, hurt and memories but it just accept us unconditionally regardless

See, once you fall in love with the guy, you really can't keep yourself from falling more and more; the more time you spend with him. I learn that the very hard way. Falling in love with your straight best friend is the worst. A guy you are supposed to run for a shoulder to lean on; for comfort when your heart breaking.

Unfortunately, the only way the stop falling in love is to stop meeting and spending time with them for a while. Until you process all those emotions. Accept the facts by telling him you have feelings for him and you need time for yourself; if he doesn't want a relationship. Or
If you're lucky he might be feeling something you'll never know. Sometimes there are things we don't notice our best friends do because our minds already decided what we think about it. Sometimes we are oblivious that he is in love with us because we try so hard not the fall in love further.

The fact that it's being narrated and performed by Nick J. Russo makes this even more divine. His acting never fails to impress me in so many ways. I think he's super underrated. The way he can manipulate his voice in so many amazing ways is truly awesome to me.

MM Rom Com Love~~sweet love story

If you love MM love, MM shmecks, and all the sweetness without any of the stress of some major inter-main-couple-drama, this one is for you. It’s short, sweet, HEA, and it hit all the spots I needed for a read today.

Bc I am always looking for spice degrees, keep in mind this is subjective, but I’d say the spice is clutch—three.five peppers of four. Not a slow burn but definitely not insta. The love is organic between a quirky author and his best friend’s older brother who has just split from his husband.

It’s not “groundbreaking” if you’re a snob, but if you are here to enjoy a tale of two hot men with captivating personalities, dive on in and just let yourself be light and happy with Beau and P.
