Publisher's Summary

Ride along on this endearing road-trip rom-com from Audie Award nominee Cara Bastone - scripted exclusively for audio!

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

My nerves almost get the best of me, but then there he is, sitting down in the seat next to me. Tall. Friendly smile. Bright indigo streak in his brown hair. The perfect distraction. Turns out he’s on his way to reconnect with an old flame. The one who got away. We can both make it on time - just barely - if the traffic keeps flowing.

Playing road-trip games, avoiding calls from his mother, and effortless conversation keeps us from clockwatching...until the bus breaks down. And my seatmate turns into my copilot as we wrangle a ride in a car three decades old. And hit all the traffic. And oh, Lord, the detours. And somehow I end up careening cross-town on the handlebars of a Citi Bike carrying a box of kittens. (Yeah, don’t ask.)

He’s my hero every step of the way...and I might be falling for him. But what happens when we reach our final destination? Could my seatmate really be my soul mate?

A great feel good listen!

I love Cara Bastone’s work! “Call Me Maybe” is my favourite! Then, “Sweet Talk”, and now “Seatmate. I also love the narrators! It made a big difference to the experience of listening to the story. I highly recommend this.

Meet Cute at it's best

Loved it! I wish all audiobooks were like this. Just as fun as Call Me Maybe and Sweet Talk. I smiled and laughed the whole way through.

OMG So funny.

😆😆😆👍👍👍

OMG!

This book was soooo hilarious.
I loved that fact that they were multi narrators that showed up and the narrators used their own voices.
Loved the chemistry Zachary Webber and Amanda Ronconi had. They were beautifully funny together.

This was the first book I have bought written by Cara Baston. She is so real for lack of a better word. She wrote the way we really talk.

This was her third book and the only reason I bought it was because of Zachary Webber.
Now I’m going to buy the first two. If the first two are half as good as this one.

So worth the buy.

like watching a romcom

I love this whole collection! I would say the narration is amazing, but it's not even narration, it's just acting and is so well done. I don't know how I'll stand going back to the audiobooks where the guy does his best to sound like a woman while reading her lines in "his chapter" and vice versa.
The plot was engaging too, and the male lead was so so sweet. The whole collection (all 3 titles) have such nice, caring, sensitive guys which is quite refreshing. There's flirting, but no steamy scenes at all, just very very sweet.

What a road trip

The final book in the Love Lines series. I still enjoyed this one and of course adored the narration but I didn't feel the same connection with Sam and Gwen as I did with the other two couples.

I loved their journey from Boston to NYC and all the mishaps they had to deal with along the way.

The story line was great and I enjoyed learning about Sam and Gwen and watching them fall for each other (Sam definitely falls first).

Definitely a fun and light read and still connected loosely with the other books but absolutely can be read on its own.

I'm a big fan of Cara after listening to this series and plan to catch up on the rest of her books!

Great chemistry!

I loved how natural the speech and chemistry was between the two voice actors (especially Sam - I could fully see his facial expressions and mannerisms in my head -great job!) It made the entire story more organic, believable and enjoyable. This is the second Cara Bastone story I’ve listened to, and am looking forward to hearing more.
