Publisher's Summary

Sheriff Bree Taggert is both hunter and hunted in #1 Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Melinda Leigh’s blood-freezing thriller of murder, rage, and revenge.

New sheriff Bree Taggert is called to a shooting in a campground shuttered for the winter. But she arrives to find a perplexing crime. There is no shooter, no victim, and no blood. No one but Bree believes the sole witness, Alyssa, a homeless teenager who insists she saw her friend shot.

Bree calls in former deputy Matt Flynn and his K-9 to track the killer and search for Alyssa’s friend. They discover the battered corpse of a missing university student under the ice in Grey Lake - but it’s not the victim they were looking for.

When two more students go missing and additional bodies turn up, Bree must find the link between the victims. She knows only one thing for certain: the murders are fueled by rage. When Alyssa disappears, Bree must race against time to find her before her witness becomes another victim.

“Outstanding! Suspenseful and filled with emotion, Leigh’s See Her Die kept me riveted all the way through to the shocking and heart-racing conclusion.” (T.R. Ragan, best-selling author of Her Last Day)

SUCCESS FOR MELINDA LEIGH!!!

I'm a true fan of Melinda Leigh! This is a good series. I just wish there were more books currently available. I see that there's a new release in a couple of days and another in September. I'm looking forward to the continued story of Bree! The verdict is still out on the narrator, Christina Traister. There's one voice that is on the verge of being irritating. I won't put a name with that voice in case it doesn't bother other people. Maybe it's just me. But Traister isn't the worst narrator, but not the best either. But overall, a good story out weighs the narration, especially in this case.

Loved it!!

Ohh I enjoyed this story very much. The mystery, and it was such a thrilling ride. This was a nail biter for a bit. I wasn’t sure if anyone could be trusted. The narrator did a fabulous job breathing life to the story and characters.

Sue Grafton vibes

I've been looking for a strong mystery series with characters I relate to and like since I read the last Sue Grafton book. This is it right here. I love the characters, and I love that this holds a light up to women taking on a typically male position in a small community where change isn't always welcome. And [spoiler alert] thanks to the author for not making us wait six books in before Matt's advances are accepted. :-)

Complex mystery, great characters and romance

I really love the Bree Taggert mysteries. Bree and her sister's kids that she now takes care of are characters that you can learn to love. Her whole life is turned upside down when her sister is murdered and Bree changes jobs to take over the county sheriff job to keep from moving her niece and nephew. Her retired former partner helps out around their farm. Bree has a complex murder mystery with a potential shooting, no body and no blood, but other bodies start turning up in the frozen lake. It is soon getting very complicated and Bree is understaffed. She calls on the former inspector for the department Matt to help out and they move closer to a relationship as they work as partners. The book is complicated with a good plot and lots of twists. It also deals with PTSD in law enforcement and in Bree's childhood traumas. All in all it is a fast-paced and very enjoyable read!
