Publisher's Summary

I’m one of four Willow daughters.

He’s the first-born son of the Scafoni family. And we have history.

For generations, the Scafoni family have demanded a sacrifice of us. A virgin daughter to atone for sins so old, we don’t even remember what they are anymore.

But when you have as much money as they do, you don’t play by the rules. You make them.

And Sebastian Scafoni makes all the rules.

The moment I saw him, I knew he would choose me. Even though the mark on my sheath declared me unclean. Even though my beautiful sisters stood beside me, offered to him, he still chose me.

He made me his.

And then he set out to break me.

This set contains Taken, Torn, and Twisted, the complete Dark Legacy Trilogy.

Rough beginning to smooth ending

I hated the beginning of this story and was cringing my nails as I was reading and what was happening but at the end I started to love the Love story in it all but I would never want it on anyone else even my worst enemy.

I need more

Overall an interesting storyline. It had a lot of twists. I feel the end of the Duet was missing A LOT. The 3rd story which is supposed to be a standalone, feels very incomplete. I feel like there are a lot of unanswered questions and more to tell or maybe the storyline was just rushed??? I don't something just feels incomplete.

I loved it though.

Spoiler warning.....

If love triangles aren't your thing, good luck.

To violent and male narrator is over the top

It’s a good story but the abuse is just too much. I couldn’t listen to it. I found myself skipping more than I was able to listen. The male narrator gets into it to much. At times he’s practically yelling into your ear.

Helena and Sebastian / Gregory and Amelia

If you like dark books, this is a really good one. Helena and Sebastian's story starts in Taken. Taken ends on a cliffy and picks up in Torn. The Scafoni brothers were not likeable but it turns out that Sebastian, though really dark, was not as bad as I initially thought. Although they fall in love, this book did not strike me as romantic. I did not like when Sebastian shared Helena with his brother Gregory but I love what Gregory did near the end of the book to save Helena from terrible pain. Twisted is Amelia and Gregory's story. Both of them are dark, but Gregory is worse, especially after what happened on the island with him, Helena and Sebastian. All of the Scafoni brothers are dark, but the mother, Lucinda, was absolutely terrible in the way she beat Helena. Eventually Sebastian took care of her financially. Lucinda also stole something from mob boss Stefan Sabbioni. He damages her for that - yuk! He also kidnapped Amelia right from Gregory's bedroom when Gregory went to get what Lucinda stole. Michael Pierce and Mackenzie Cartwright did a great job with the narration.

Good story...

... but not a huge fan of the male narrator–his theatrical inflection during intense moments was a bit over the top to me. I liked the stories, though. I wouldn’t recommend if you had to spend a credit on each of the books, but since it’s a trilogy, I’d would say it’s entertaining enough for one credit.

horrible story. there's a difference between being submissive and there's just violence and forced sex and abusive. it made me sick to listen to this.

Sexy story, aggressive narration

The male narrator goes too fast during conversation and it almost pulls me out. But overall I enjoyed it.

Loved it.

Addressing other reviewers: 1. Ppl listen to horror books. They know going in what to expect. So did I w this one. I enjoyed the story, even though I found myself yelling 'RUN' more than once... that means I was emotionally involved in fiction. Secondly, although the male narration was a little mechanical at first HE DID VERY WELL acting out serious or passionate scenes when called for. It was easy to get into the book and the narration was good. I enjoyed my escape from this Dumpster Fire of a world for two days. Thank you.

Off-putting

First, I love Natasha’s books. I don’t usually cringe at listening to any books but this one was difficult to listen to. The narration wasn’t great but the story made me very uncomfortable. I had to stop halfway through.

This is an absolute awesome read!

I must say these 3 books capture you pull you in as if you are in the book itself. Honestly sometimes I wonder why Helena Never knew When to open her mouth and keep it quiet. These 3 books will keep you on your toes.

Decent, but the ending...

Not a horrible plot considering the genre. I'm glad I paid 1 credit for all three stories! Individualy not really worth a credit. The first two books were alright, the last one however, not. Gregory and Amy, the whole story was forced, and hurried. That a young virgin (shock) would put up a fight, yet be so willing to give in. That she doesn't know herself and this strange man releases all the emotions, blah, blah, blah, etc. And WHY is it always a virgin? Jeeze. Erotica and sexy romance can happen with 'experienced' women too!! I want a book with a super hot virgin male! All these badass hotties had a first! And a second, and third, and so on...
Thank you Audible for the credit back.
