Publisher's Summary

Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It's somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn, but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour.

So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn't fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she's kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She's given up hope of seeing him ever again.

Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she's built upside down. This time around, she won't make the same mistake. She's going to fight to keep him in her life - not for herself.

But for their daughter.

I love the "new" dad relationship with his child trope. I fall in love every time listening to a man fall in love with his child. Thea & Logan have great chemistry from the beginning of this book. She is a hard working, strong loving single mom who lives a small town life and he is a business man from the big city who has a heart of gold and doesn't take forever to figure out what he needs to do. Loved the characters but for me Logan stole the show in this one. He was on point throughout the story, never really "screwing" up with his new family or causing misunderstandings which is a big plus for me. He knows right away what he wants and just takes a little time figuring out how to make it work. The epilogue was great, I always love getting a glimpse of what will become of the couple after the story ends.

The narration was great, both narrators were cast perfectly. Maxine Mitchell's voice is usually a little uppity for small town girls but she really did bring Thea to life in this one.
Aaron Shedlock is a favorite of mine and I have to say I loved hearing him as the good guy, he really does great with the emotional scenes and that's exactly what Logan was with his family.

All.The.Stars

All.The.Stars. This book deserves every star! But let’s be honest, every Devney Perry book deserves all the stars! Her writing is pure magic. I fell in love with these characters and never wanted this story to end. Logan was the stuff dreams were made of. Hearing how he was with Charlie melted a place in my heart. I just can’t get enough of this author and her books!

If you’re an audio fan, definitely check out any of her books in audio - you won’t be disappointed!

Love this story!!!!

I absolutely loved this book!! I read it when it first came out and I couldn't wait for it to be available in Audible, however although I normally love Maxine Mitchell, I hated her on this one. Thea has been through a lot of stuff in her life, and although tough, she definitely is vulnerable. Maxine made her sound whiny and desperate through the whole thing. Aaron Shedlock was great though, and since I had already read and re-read this one, I was able to skip through Maxine's chapters. This book is so worth the credit!! Deveny Perry has created an amazing story with likeable characters.

Loved the story

I really liked the story but Aaron Sherlock did not do a super job narrating. He has a really nice voice but just didn’t love his narration.

Good sound romance novel. Worth the credit!

Good solid romance! With over 1400 books in my library this series will be included. I like a book that I can see as real. This book I can see as real. The author takes you in to the characters lives and you feel what they feel. That takes talent!

Billionaire secret baby

Ah what a beautiful story! Definitely a relisten!!
Billionaire Logan Kendrick is in Lark Cove, MT to inspect a summer camp that has requested funding from his family’s foundation. Montana holds painful memories for Logan since he had followed his then-girlfriend from NY to propose...only to discover that she had reconciled with her husband. Logan can’t wait to leave; first he is stopping by a local bar for drinks and some food Imagine his surprise when he comes face to face with his one night stand from 6yrs ago...and her little girl who looks just like him!!!
Thea Landry has had a tough life...she was abandoned in a dumpster as a newborn, who was hooked on heroin. Then she grew up in an orphanage, where the only kindness came from the cook. When she became pregnant, she packed up leave NY and headed for Lark Cove, where she reunited with that cook, Hazel, and her bff, Jack. The trio formed a little family and ran Hazel’s bar. Thea’s daughter, Charlie, was a tomboy, who loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. How will she react when she meets the father that she’s never known?
Follow Thea, Logan and Charlie, as they learn about each other and try to make a go at being a family...which will be quite a feat when they’re separated by a few thousand miles. Throw in a stalker after Thea and Logan’s snobbish family and we have plenty of drama! Great book and equally fabulous narration. ,

A great start

I adore Devney perry and this is a great start to this series!! Can’t wait for the rest to be released ❤️ it’s refreshing to not have a jerk male character like in so many romances. He’s a sweet guy, you can’t help but root for!
