Incredible Volume of Awesome Information

What made the experience of listening to The Book on Managing Rental Properties the most enjoyable?

Brandon and Heather provide a wealth of information that will take you from feeling clueless to educated about managing your rental properties. If you are new to rental property management, this is a must read. After reading this book, I shudder to think about how ill prepared I would have been going into my own personal buy-n-hold investor journey. While I certainly will have a lot to learn, reading this book has certainly saved me months if not years learning things the hard way.

Have you listened to any of Brandon Turner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, solid as usual.

Awesome Book!

This book is going to help me out tremendously!

I'm currently closing on my first duplex and will become an instant landlord, so listing to this audio book gave me some helpful tips on how to setup my systems and access to forms I going to need in three wheels when my property closes. Great information!

The flow of the audio book was great Brandon had stories for all of the examples that he used. It's nice to know that the author is an active investor and can gives us advice that can be applied in today's market.

Great book

Alot of great information in the audio for first time and previous landlords on keeping systems in place to run as a business and not a hobby, I will buy the soft cover book for a guide. It does sound overwhelming when listening but will help run the business the right way.

The Absolute Best Real Estate Management Book

I grew up in the Property Management world. My folks owned between 18-70 rentals for most of my life. When I became an adult, I bought my own rentals and started a small management company. Even with the experience that I had, this book was ridiculously helpful! I owe a tremendous debt to the Turners and BP for teaching me the strategies, systems, and actions that have taken the majority of the burden off of me, and made my business more profitable and enjoyable. I'm happier, my family is happier, my Tenants are happier, and the money is much better. Thank you Brandon and Heather, thank you Bigger Pockets!

Great book for anyone interested in becoming a landlord

This book is great. It's very comprehensive, has a bunch of downloadable resources, and the author is clearly passionate about the topic and that comes through in the audio performance, which I always appreciate.

Extremely Fruitful (Bothersome Narrator)

What did you love best about The Book on Managing Rental Properties?

I liked the real life experience that the author was able to give. I also liked that his experiences are from Washington State and helpful since I live in Washington. I have not used it yet but he gives great references for background checks as well as a website to get some forms that would be most helpful. I took many notes during my list of this book as it was content rich.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Book on Managing Rental Properties?

Training your tenant to pay you on time.

What didn’t you like about Brandon Turner’s performance?

He sounds nice enough but he has a lisps that I don't care for. Probably in the wrong line of work.

Great Insightful Book

This book covers all the nessassary aspects of property management needed to get started and build a successful management company. As a small-time real estate investor (3 units) I found this extremely helpful. It is also a very organized book broken down systematic chapters, making it very simple to follow along. Sometimes most importantly, the narration was great. I always appreciate when the writer narrates the book themselves. I do not follow "Bigger Pockets" but I probably will now. Turner was very energetic and used emotion to narrate keeping me very interested. Lastly there is a ton of recommendations for further reading, tangible takeaways that your could change or iij improve today, and has well over the cost of the books worth of sample contacts, checklists, sheets, and documents. Great book I would recommend to anyone who had or plans to manage property, I WILL read this book again.

Only items I was hoping it would cover that theh did not was managing property inside Home Owners Associations, how to find, train, and develop apartment complex managers, and legalities or owning a management business and whether to incorporate, LLC, etc. Othereise it covered many topics I would have not thought to ask or I had no idea about. Still great book.
