All I want for Christmas is a New NK Jemisin Book

I have only one other author that excites me as NK does, that's Anne Bishop, her Black Jewels Trilogy has always been my all time favorite books.
These two authors never put fluff into their books. Every word, every character serves a purpose. Nothing is ever just thrown in to fill the pages to meet a publishers dead line. Soooo hopefully if you've never read her, you will give her a chance.

another great series by this author

This is the third series by this author that I've listen to on audiobook. The first series was great, second I got bored and gave up on, but the broken kingdoms is probably my favorite. you have to be patient as the story starts out slow but the results are worth the wait. characters are given time to develop slowly and the World building is awesome.

Emphasis on "T's"

Really enjoyed this second book, even the performance and dialects... but why empathize the "t sound". For example "MorTals" is said hundreds of times. Odd.

I can't think of a flaw

in this rendition. the narrator did a great job. the first person narrative was done well. I liked the story. I liked the continuation of the Gods story continued from an outsider perspective. it is like listening to a historical narrative told from a common person's viewpoint. I'd c r tiny recommend this series so far.

loved it!

voices were not read as effeciently as book 1, but that does not take away from the narrative. it was still well read.
