À propos de cet audio

Betrayal.

He was the deception waiting in the night; the truth I never saw coming. After a lifetime of manipulation, I finally learned the truth. I was his puppet—even if I never saw my strings.

Even knowing how deep his betrayal runs, I can’t shake the undeniable connection between Gray and I—the way a single glance from him sets my soul on fire. We are not the same. We’re enemies, poised to battle for the future of the very thing I’d wanted to destroy.

With the Covenant gone, the revenge I thought I wanted is no longer my priority. The witches that remain played no role in my aunt’s death, and the only person standing in the way of righting those wrongs is the very man determined to keep me in his bed.

But the remaining members of the Coven will never forgive me for the role I played in their demise and subjugation, and the worst part of all is that I can’t even blame them for it. I’d been naïve, believing my own delusions of grandeur when destiny clearly had other plans for me—plans that had been set in motion centuries before my birth.

But even that had been a lie, and now it is my duty to do everything in my power to undo it, to protect my Coven from my husband’s hatred—no matter the cost.

The female narrator is horrendous. The storyline is interesting but predictable. There is just enough substance to keep my interest.

Almost terrible

Good story for a quick read. Male narration voice and tone was amazing sound cool and sexy, not great with the female lines however. The willows narrator- omg the long drawn out words for the male characters was painful. Had to speed up the reading to make it bearable. You could also tell when she went back to edit her clips as her tone changed mid sentence. This book would benefit from a true duet style narration.

The horrible narration

story is just ok but I can't get over the horrible narrators the males voice just isn't it def not masculine enough and his female parts he reads are super cringe and female narrator isn't to bad as willow but when she reads any male parts they come out very one tone no emotion just her trying to do a deep voice

I hated both narrators

These are great novels. She is a great author. The narration however is not great at all. She draws out the words almost annunciating every letter when she is reading as Willow. But when she has to voice Lucifers/Grays parts in Willows chapters, it almost seems as if she thinks he is an old man whose mind is slow and whose voice is having a hard time forming the words. Grays narrator however, sounds strong and young and powerful which matches what the author has tried to portray.

Great Novel/Story, Awful Narration

overall it was a great duet. I just don't like that I'm wanting more and I searched to see if there was more to come but can't find anything. Overall the narration was good the only thing that I didn't like was when the narrator needed to add passion she did not ( in some scenes)

is there more to the story?
