About this listen
Soon to be a major motion picture starring Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba!
In this third volume, several months have passed, and Roland's two new tet-mates have become trained gunslingers. Eddie Dean has given up heroin, and Odetta's two selves have joined, becoming the stronger and more balanced personality of Susannah Dean. But while battling The Pusher in 1977 New York, Roland altered ka by saving the life of Jake Chambers, a boy who - in Roland's world - has already died. Now Roland and Jake exist in different worlds, but they are joined by the same madness: the paradox of double memories.
Roland, Susannah, and Eddie must draw Jake into Mid-World and then follow the Path of the Beam all the way to the Dark Tower. Along the way our tet stumbles into the ruined city of Lud, and are caught between the warring gangs of the Pubes and the Grays. The only way out of Lud is to wake Blaine the Mono, an insane train that has a passion for riddling, and for suicidal journeys.

Awesome book.
This is by far my favourite book so far. I look forward to listening to the other ones.
The only thing I have bad to say about it is I can hear someone talking in the background.
But the Narrators voice is for each characters really bring you into the story.

Incredible Narration
I’m always concerned when a narrator changes mid-series, but this narrator is a rare talent and one of the best I’ve ever heard

Glorious
The only dislike I have with this piece of the gunslinger saga is that it came to an abrupt end, leaving me with the pain of the prisoner as he was touched by his demon heroin

Blaine is a pain!
Great book! I really enjoyed this instalment of the dark tower series. Looking forward to reading the next one. I loved a good old fashioned riddle battle.

The Dark Tower saga keeps surprising me
I thought by now, 3 books into this story, that nothing would surprise me... I was wrong!
The new villains are amazing. I see a lot of modern stories borrowing from these (several come to mind like characters from walking dead and The 100).
Can't wait to continue the journey of Roland and his companions!
P.S. This is my first audiobook in Audible, what a great way to start :)

Great listen
I have read the book a couple times but at listening to it being narrated gave it a whole new feel. the narrator did an amazing job of the voices and effects throughout the book which definitely helped. As a truck driver he spends a lot of time on the road it definitely helps pass the time
