About this listen

Inspector Luc Vanier is drinking his way through Christmas Eve when he is called out to investigate the murder of five homeless people. His investigation takes him into the backrooms of the Catholic Church, the boardrooms of Montreal’s business elite, and the soup kitchens and back alleys of street life in winter.

Fascinating read

A well-written book - the best of his 3 books in my opinion. The details about the church that still linger in Montreal society was very interesting. Also I really like his descriptions of winter. Although I live fairly close to Montreal and experience the same winter, it was a new experience to hear it described so aptly. I will probably listen to this book again.
