The author is very skilful and masters the art of detailed storytelling where she provides history and information to give you a perfect picture of that point in time, without giving overwhelming details and having the setting take over the storyline.
My inner circle think I hate supernatural/sci-fi stories, but that’s not true- what I dislike is when a story becomes unrealistic and you cannot fathom it happening, even though you know logically it never would. From start to finish, this story was believable.
I have recommended this book to so many people, I just loved it.
