Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares. How could a group of survivors, mostly teenagers, commit such terrible acts?
Presented as a fact-finding investigation and a series of first-person interviews, FantasticLand pieces together the grisly series of events. Park policy was that the mostly college-aged employees surrender their electronic devices to preserve the authenticity of the FantasticLand experience. Cut off from the world and left on their own, the teenagers soon form rival tribes who viciously compete for food, medicine, social dominance, and even human flesh. This new social network divides the ravaged dreamland into territories ruled by the Pirates, the ShopGirls, the Freaks, and the Mole People. If meticulously curated online personas can replace private identities, what takes over when those constructs are lost?
FantasticLand is a modern take on Lord of the Flies meets Battle Royale that probes the consequences of a social civilization built online.

Pretty Fantastic
I don’t know what the genre of medium is, the almost radio play style of fiction, but this is peak that. It reminds me a lot of Limetown, the podcast, which I also loved, so there’s no surprise I loved this too. An intriguing story where I couldn’t stop listening no matter the interview. Also, some of the best narrators in the business, which was a necessity for this kind of book. Hashtag Team Freaks.

Great Audiobook.
This book had a very cool concept of having young adults stuck in a horrible situation tuning into a even more terrible situation due to their decisions. The quality of this audio book was fantastic. Having actors use different voices for different characters is what made me like the book more more. There's some parts in this book which I feel they could have changed a bit, but overall it told a compelling story via the interviews. I'd recommend getting this book if you liked World War Z. #Audible1

Great audio
Highly recommend the audiobook! It was so well done I was captivated immediately.
Had the feel of a modern day Lord of the Flies. A hurricane hit and the amusement park implemented their emergency protocols. Although there is plenty of water and food the young people are faced with no direction, supervision or overall feelings of authority. Chaos ensued and this is the stories of the survivors. Each chapter is another interview painting a vivid picture of what happened in the park during the hurricane and the aftermath.

The voice actors were incredible!
Honestly one of my favourite audiobooks of all time now. Using interviews is such an interesting way of telling a story. It all felt so real. And oh my god
those voice actors were absolutely incredible. I had no idea that there were only 2 till the end credits. Definitely a book I’ll listen to again.

Absolutely Fantastic, page turning, Story telling.
I really liked the book Lord of the Flies in high school. This book takes that to the next level, but in modern times with modern conveniences. I could not stop listening it was a real page turner. I’d recommend this book over Lord of the Flies in schools for the fact it being in modern times, might interest kids more. Absolutely Fantastic story!!

Well performed
I liked the story format, I was engaged till the end. What really made me enjoy the book though was the performance of the narrators. I listen to alot of books, these two are top notch! True performers!

Would Recommend
An interesting story told through an interesting format. There's enough revealed at the beginning of the story to make the listener want to know how they got there. I have recommended it to my friends and family.
