Publisher's Summary

"One day when Pooh Bear had nothing else to do, he thought he would do something, so he went round to Piglet's house to see what Piglet was doing." Thus begins The House At Pooh Corner, A.A. Milne's wonderful companion volume to Winnie-the-Pooh. You will rediscover Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, and all their friends, and be introduced to the irrepressible and very bouncy Tigger.

Blackstone Audiobooks presents, from the unabridged collection A.A. Milne's Pooh Classics, the 10 simple and timeless tales of The House At Pooh Corner performed by Peter Dennis. This is the only reading of these enthralling stories authorized by A. A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin, who wrote, "Peter Dennis has made himself Pooh's Ambassador Extraordinary and no bear has ever had a more devoted friend. So if you want to meet the real Pooh, the bear I knew, the bear my father wrote about, listen to Peter."

As you begin to listen to this beloved book, you'll enter that enchanted place on the top of the Forest where "a little boy and his Bear will always be playing".

The stories included in this volume are:
In Which A House Is Built at Pooh Corner for Eeyore
In Which Tigger Comes to the Forest and Has Breakfast
In Which A Search Is Organized, and Piglet Nearly Meets the Heffalump Again
In Which It Is Shown that Tiggers Don't Climb Trees
In Which Rabbit Has a Busy Day, and We Learn What Christopher Robin Does in the Mornings
In Which Pooh Invents a New Game and Eeyore Joins In
In Which Tigger Is Unbounced
In Which Piglet Does a Very Grand Thing
In Which Eeyore Finds the Wolery and Owl Moves Into It
In Which Christopher Robin and Pooh Come to an Enchanted Place, and We Leave Them There

What the critics say

"This latest addition to the Pooh Classics, the 10 unabridged stories from The House at Pooh Corner, is a must....[Peter Dennis's] intelligent and whimsical readings, meant for adults and children alike, are captivating." (The Los Angeles Times)
"Actor Peter Dennis turns in a meltingly lovely narration. His voice is calm and friendly, yet he manages distinctive voices for each of the characters....This is an imaginative production to boot, with original music and sound effects. In many productions, sound effects are too loud and compete with the narration, but this is the first one to have gotten the balance just right." (Philadelphia Enquirer)

Featured Article: Classic Winnie-the-Pooh Quotes to Awaken the Child Within

The classic tales of Winnie-the-Pooh and his companions captured hearts in 1926, and continue to bring happiness to kids (and kids at heart) nearly 100 years later. Pooh also holds an extra special place in the hearts of Canadians, who know the real bear which inspired the tales hailed from Winnipeg. That’s how Winnie got his name!
