Publisher's Summary

A Necrons audio.

Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner are opposites. Each is obsessed with their own speciality and their rivalry spans a millennia. Yet together, they may hold the secret to saving the necron race....

Listen to it because: explore a story told across the millennia that delves deep into a pair of fascinating necron characters, their relationship and their plans for the galaxy.

The story: before the being called the Emperor revealed himself, before the rise of the aeldari, before the necrontyr traded their flesh for immortal metal, the world was born in violence. Even when they inhabited bodies of flesh, Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner were polar opposites. Trazyn, a collector of historical oddities, presides over a gallery full of the most dangerous artefacts - and people - of the galactic past. Orikan, a chronomancer without peer, draws zodiacs that predict and manipulate the future. But when an artefact emerges that may hold the key to the necrons’ next evolution, these two obsessives enter a multi-millennia game of cat and mouse that ends civilisations, reshapes timelines, and changes both forever. As riddles unwind and ancient secrets are revealed, the question remains: will their feud save the necron race or destroy it?

Written by Robert Rath. Narrated by Richard Reed.

The Lightest That 40k Gets

In the grimdarkness of the future... there's these two. Literally the most powerful and oldest beings in a tellable tale, these two are more relatable than your favorite space marine. Powerful, petty and petulant with a Grumpy Old Men vibe. (this was my 3rd listen).

Other than Caiaphas, the most smiles you'll get from 40k. A must read

Some Great insight to Necrons and a lot of fun!

The rivalry between Trazyn and Orakin is.... unrivalled. I'll be here all week.

Some very cool looks into the "life" of the Necrons. It also touches on the Flayer and Destroyer viruses. The story feels very epic and Warhammer-ish but still manages to include a great deal of humor. Overall masterfully written and narrated. I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the 40k universe and especially Necrons.

Wonderful

The infinite and the divine was engaging and compelling to the last sentence. I thoroughly enjoyed listening. Hopefully they will continue on with this narrative, as I am left still wanting more. Wonderful, truly wonderful.

Amazing story!

This is one one of those books that's better as an a listen rather than a read. The banter between Trazyn and Orikan is fantastic, it's just the right amount of funny in a universe that's typically pretty dark.

Small review (spoiler free)

I dont know of too much necron books/audiobooks, I found this quite enjoyable, with the narrator and his vocal performance it brought a certain charm to it and hooked me in, not to mention it is a rather well done book and delved into necron politics, which may be a turn off to some. Overall well done, highly recommended for all necron fans
