Publisher's Summary
The Infinite World: ever-changing and ever growing. New nations and races rose and fell almost daily. New Classes were discovered, and old ways were lost.
Monsters and beasts roamed the earth and were slain by soldiers and adventurers who were, in turn, killed by stronger threats. Heroes and villains created new epics and were forgotten when their successors appeared. This was the way of the Infinite World.
Summoned into this chaotic place, a young boy with no name and no past must learn to survive. Bound to a master who doesn't care whether he lives or dies, he must become stronger. The question is: how? Do the people around him value him for who he is or merely for what he represents? The world holds endless possibilities, but only time will tell what the future holds for the boy.

Dumbed Down
Enjoyed the Infinite world concept and the magic but found the glorification of the boot camp insipid. Boot camps are used the world over to strip young men of self esteem so they will follow orders unquestioning. Necessary if youn orders send these men to die but it does the opposite of molding them to be well developed human beings. Another military benefit is that even stupid people can be put in charge to insult trainees. it's a simple concept. The idea that these people are hidden geniuses comes across like propaganda for really stupid people. The book was interesting to read to get insight into military propaganda but I feel sorry for any young men that internalize this.

its an ok story
the characters are hard to like. the main character is likeable enuff. but everyone else is tuff. more then one character makes mistakes. you start to think no one can do the right thing. their is a drill sergeant character that gets tiring overtime. shame it started really interesting. to sum up avg story others may injoy the book better. it's worth your credit if you don't mind Drill Sargeant type character's.

If you like DND or RPGs you will love this story
One of the best fantasy stories I've read in a while. it's definitely different from traditional fantasy stories like LOTR, characters level up and choose skills and attributes. But it's really fun. I've never rated a book on here but it was great so I'm giving it 5 stars. I already bought the next two books. Really enjoyed the authors world building and character development.

Almost, but not quite.
The writing is good. The narration is good. However the characters, world building, and overall sense of purpose is really lacking.
The biggest problem with this book is how 1 to 2 dimensional most of the characters are. And I say characters because the author at some point decided to follow 8-10 different characters without ever developing them. He (the author) just kind-of dumps you into the pov of a newly introduced character and makes you listen through a 30 minute battle. This normally is a good way to introduce a character IF you build on it. But that it, that's all you get... you get no further character development. Then repeat this with 8 other characters. What makes it worse, is you spend most of the time listening to these side character battle scene and vert little time with the MC.
The world building is mostly absent... not kuch to say there.
finally, there is no real purpose in this book. At first it seems like the purpose in this book is for the MC to get stronger, but then we barely follow the MC. It seems like the author tried to follow too many ideas at the same time.

Review
This audiobook isn’t for everyone. If you read the synopsis of the story the main character is a summons in a human body. In video games a summons is a useful tool, even a necessary one. But at the end of the day the main character is the slave. Without going into spoiler the character has unlimited potential. But instead of helping him grow to his full potential the side characters essentially limit is growth. Not just limit is growth but intentionally go out of the way to make him learn abilities that are useful to them!. Which makes the main character comes off as sad and pitiful. In truth this audiobook would’ve been much better if the main character was some sort of animal or beast that was summon. This audiobook started off with so much potential, but the main character just wants to be a useful pathetic tool!. Which does not make sense for someone with thought consciousness critical thinking the ability to learn and grow. Which is a problem for this audiobook. it’s not sure what it’s trying to be🤷♂️👎👎

The narration was as captivating as the story itself, you could really get into and feel the growth of the characters as you learned to hate or love them. Cant wait to understand the mysteries that might reveal itself in the second book.

Great book! look past some reviews
I’m about 9/10 through already. This book is, at least to me, a novel take on litrpg that is a breath of fresh air. It’s a mix of easy-listening and a new angle on the classic growth story. MC has tons of growth potential and I’m glad there are more books in the series already out. I’d bet I’ll be getting them too.
Initially, I avoided listening to this for a while because the reviews were weird. The first review I see on audible is the following:
“The MC ‘s story is how an awesome character can be pointlessly handicapped by annoying, useless, self-righteous female characters who think they own him. Oh yeah, and one literally does.”
I don’t think their review is accurate unless you are incredibly insecure in your masculinity/find all women annoying.
Someone ‘Owning him’ is part of the book’s premise.

Despite 1 star story is good
ok so the reason I gave 1 star for the story but still said it was good was simply because the author wrote in 2 blatantly stupid characters, his "best friend" and his "master" to hold the mc back. Not even gonna mention much else because again, good story I thought, just annoying because of annoyingly stupid characters
