I’ve read all the Rick Riordan’s stories about the gods, including Ashard, and Egyptian and the gang who are hidden away in California. I’ve read and listened to them all so many times. This time I completed this series with the help of Jessie Bernstein over a 5 day period while in the hospital. It helped me keep my mind off of why I was there. I do love all the characters the way he does them. It’s all fun.
I did read through all the comments about Demeter and Persephone voices being wrong, but I disagree, first who’s to say Persephone’s voice isn’t harsh from being in underworld on and off for so many years. Plus I never knew that there was an expert out there who knows how they should speak. Just a thought.
I love knowing who the person is before he says because I recognize their voices.
Sorry just thought that should be out there.
Rick Riordan your imagination is amazing and I am always looking forward to more. I really can’t wait for the Percy Jackson series coming next month.

I enjoyed the story, I have thought Jesse did a wonderful job narrating them, the onky issue i had was the voice he gave Demeter and Persophne but thats a personal thing really. I loved the story and the way Rick ended the series.

We have listened to all 5 of these books this winter/spring. My boys are 7 and 10. The narrator is consistent as with the previous books. The story is an exciting conclusion to the series and ties up loose ends.

mispronouncing of greek names, and words. narrator needs to have more variation on voices, but needs to chose those variations a bit better. why did persephone sound like she smoked a pack of smokes every hour of every day for a thousand years?
