“Marissa Stapley’s writing is a gift.” (Pam Jenoff, New York Times best-selling author of The Orphan’s Tale

The Harmony Resort promises hope for struggling marriages. Run by celebrity power couple Drs. Miles and Grace Markell, the "last resort" offers a chance for partners to repair their relationships in a luxurious setting on the gorgeous Mayan Riviera.

Johanna and Ben have a marriage that looks perfect on the surface, but in reality, they don’t know each other at all. Shell and Colin fight constantly: after all, Colin is a workaholic, and Shell always comes second to his job as an executive at a powerful mining company. But what has really torn them apart is too devastating to talk about. When both couples begin Harmony's intensive therapy program, it becomes clear that Harmony is not all it seems - and neither are Miles and Grace themselves. What are they hiding, and what price will these couples pay for finding out?

As a deadly tropical storm descends on the coast, trapping the hosts and the guests on the resort, secrets are revealed, loyalties are tested and not one single person - or their marriage - will remain unchanged by what follows.

needs more readers

The story was good but it was hard to keep track which character was talking as there was only one person reading.

Drivel

This was a very poor choice for editors pic.
I just can't imagine why anyone would recommend this awful book, or take any interest in these stupid, ridiculous people.
If I hadn't been convalescing and in a weakened state I would have stopped listening sooner. As it was I quit with an hour left to go. I just didn't care about the story or anyone in it at all.
Performance was so so.

Gave up after 10 minutes

This was incredibly boring and the narrator’s voice was dreadful. It is a sheer waste of time!!

Long, Long Long - If it wasn't free..,

I would have returned this, if I had paid for it. A real sleeper and a poorly written book and even more poorly written ending.

First time I have given up on an Audible book

This was not for me. It's all about the story. I found the characters uninteresting and unengaging. The plot was likewise uninspiring. The locale had obviously not been researched by the author (for instance, there are no mountains anywhere near the Riviera Maya. And with six hours left, I have decided I can more enjoyably spend those hours elsewhere. Sorry!

Tedious

Couldn’t finish it and I rarely give up on stories.
A near but even worse copy of Nine perfect Strangers. Rarely impressed with only from Audible productions.

What is This?

I have no clue what was going on and gave up soon into it. Why the weird chapters? Also the voice is not pleasing to listen to whatsoever.

I just couldn't do it!

I hated this. I really didn't care enough about the male to care who killed him. He totally deserved it. I also hated the pathetic females in the Resort. Painful.

Ugg

It’s the “her”. “Him”. “Her”. “Him”. Telling who was speaking. I couldn’t take it. Deleted book. Can’t review on story. Didn’t go into it

Well, I finished it...

... and that's about the only good thing I can say about it. I wondered while reading if the author hates women. I think it was meant to be empowering but it failed.
