Publisher's Summary

The best-selling post-apocalyptic epic adventure the Last Survivors - the complete series of six audiobooks in one bundle.

Survival in man’s second Dark Age.

Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning.

The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures who threaten to destroy the townships. Among the townsfolk, political and the religious, dissension is spreading. Through it all, a mother must protect her son.

The complete six-audiobook Last Survivors series.

I loved this series!

Rarely do I bother with writing these reviews but this time I had to. About 3/4 of the way through I didn't want it to end. I didn't know there was more. So good I'm on to the next series. Love the characters. Love everything about this series.

Fun book, but didn't care much for the narrator

The story was great. it has excellent internal consistency. I only wish that "the flowering" had occurred, as it was said to be happening very soon, and that this event had played some minor role.

I didn't care for the voice acting. The late night DJ voice didn't fit the mood of the book at all. I also cringed every time he spoke with a womans voice.

Zombies on a Cruise Ship

I couldn't finish. I finish things, but not this. Beyond the self-congratulatory idea that a fiction writer on a cruise ship with actual national security and law enforcement officers would be called upon as an expert to 'speak to the passengers' and advise the captain, it was just unreasonably predictable and dull. There are zombies on a cruise ship. that's the plot. full stop. nothing to see here. nothing at all more interesting than that.

Not my cup of tea

Couldn't continue past couple of chapters. Narrator voice is kind of plain and boring and story did not work for me.

First Audible Book I ever sent back for a refund

Boring, deriviative world - seriously, you were inspired by some ants and fungus and not The Last of Us? Yeah, right

The narrator isn't great, granted he isn't working with much

20 hours in and I was still looking for a plot, eventually decided enough was enough and it was time to give it up and kick it to the curb. I've had plenty of Audible books over the years that were mediocre, but this is the first book that was so bad that I'm taking Audible up on their generous refund policy.
