Publisher's Summary

The best-selling post-apocalyptic epic adventure the Last Survivors - the complete series of six audiobooks in one bundle.

Survival in man’s second Dark Age.

Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning.

The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures who threaten to destroy the townships. Among the townsfolk, political and the religious, dissension is spreading. Through it all, a mother must protect her son.

The complete six-audiobook Last Survivors series.

This narrator isn't for me.

I thought I would be able to get past the reader's speech issues, but the story didn't really match the original description either, so I called it fini after an hour.

Dont waste 50 hours of your life

I like to finish things that I started, which is why I finished this audiobook, but omg, this was excruciatingly boring and unnecessarily drawn out. The most entertaining part was listening to the narrator, who has dentures that dont fit him well, pronounce his "s". Or when he does a female character with a nauseatingly whiny voice. Wow.

Overall, good box set

When I first started listening to this box set, the narrator was kind of meh. But after about 30 min, I really got into it, and wanted more.

Exceptional!

Kept me involved all the way through.I loved that each character featured in a chapter was announced at the begining of the chapter. The reader has an amazing acting ability over many characters male and female.

what a great epic story!

I had this in my wish list for months. I put it off because even though it was post apocalyptic, I usually go for a more current apocalypse (love reading/listening as the apocalypse as it is happening) and this one takes place 300 years after. with that said, I am so glad I downloaded it - well worth the credit! listening for ~50 hours to the same story, can sometimes get boring and repetitive (I have a few book series that I got half way through, and didn't care to finish), but this was not the case with the Last Survivors book series book 1-6. the writing was great and you wouldn't know from listening that it was a collaboration of the two authors - Adair and Piperbrook certainly complement each others style. And of course, you can't beat anything narrated by Sean Runnette - that man can describe paint drying on the walls and make you want to stick around to see how it turns out :-)

Hours and hours of brutality and torture

This is foul, sick story. It is just hours and hours of brutality, intimidation, rape, burning people at the stake, cannibalism, and torture, of cruel, sick people and deranged minds. There are no characters to like. Everyone turns out to be either an abuser or a coward. It's a nasty book. I wish I could wash my mind. If I could give it zero stars I would. I'm sorry I spent my credit on it.

Loved it!

Writing this review to say that even though I am VERY picky about narration, I do not understand the negative comments regarding the narrator. I feel that the tenure and pace was absolutely perfect for this series!

I loved this series!

Rarely do I bother with writing these reviews but this time I had to. About 3/4 of the way through I didn't want it to end. I didn't know there was more. So good I'm on to the next series. Love the characters. Love everything about this series.

This story is AMAZING

The authors should be proud of these masterpieces- I have not put it down and finished all 50 hours of art in less then a week. The voice actor really brings the tale to life. Thank you to everyone involved because this is amazing. - A very picky reader
