Story
As the Aurelia nears Athens, a new member of the crew is found dead in his cabin. Next to a gun and slumped over a suicide note, it appears tragic but unsuspicious. Story
When Patricia returned the missing sapphire of Zangrabar, she had no idea the maharaja would consider himself eternally in her debt. Hardly surprising then that she has been invited to his son’s coronation as the new maharaja. There’s intrigue and mystery afoot, though. The Marahaja’s invite suggested he had a mystery for her to solve, but in true Patricia style, it’s nowhere near that simple.

The Maltese Parrot: A Patricia Fisher Mystery A H
Patricia has finally arrived in Malta. Her first order of business is to take a flash drive to an operative of the British Intelligence Spy that gave her the mission. Before she can even leave the ship she's accosted by a family who are hyper because they feel the woman's mother has been kidnapped by slave traders. Thus begins a crazy adventure that Patricia did not even see coming. From one gunfight to another, from one spy to another and a kidnapped ship captain Patricia has her hands full.
Sheila Daly Payson is a remarkable narrator who brings the characters to life.

The most enjoyable of a very enjoyable series
The Maltese Parrot: A Patricia Fisher Mystery (A Humorous Cruise Ship Cozy Mystery Book 9), my eighth read/listen from author Steve Higgs and the ninth in this highly entertaining series. I'm going to have to go backward & catch up as I'm reading books out of order because it's what I have. Well-written & enjoyable. Sheila Daly Payson’s excellent narration adds to the book's listening enjoyment. This is perhaps the most enjoyable of a very enjoyable series, I look forward to reading more in this series & more from this author. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
