What I loved about this one, is that is was funny. Whoops I fell in love with my bestie and whoops I like male parts after all. I think Demi sexuality is still such a mystery, this was a comical way of telling their story. I love a good friends to lovers, low angst and this delivers. I also found the narration pleasant.

Don’t take things too seriously.

This is such a sweet story. I loved how both of the MCs loved each other. They really were oblivious about their feelings for each other. Especially Eric who claimed to be straight. They were so touchy feely that all their friends and family were just waiting for them to clue in.

Their lack of communication about their feelings was slightly frustrating as I hate when characters don't talk to each other about how they feel and make assumptions but the angst was very minimal and I know Riley always delivers a HEA.

The world building was fantastic. Both the family and the friends. I really love the concept and all the characters of the JEC that the author created. Riley is awesome at creating the best side characters and tight friend groups that are both fun and sweet and that are always there for each other. I'm really looking forward to the next book. The next couple sound just as great.

Also, the spicy talk and steamy scenes were fabulously written. Riley keeps getting better and better at this in every book. This past year or 2 I really noticed and I'm here for it.

Audio review

Story = 5 stars
Narration = 3.5 stars

I think I prefer a single narrator that differentiates the characters voices over having 2 narrators that don't.

Tim Page = 4 stars

I really enjoyed listening to Tim's voice. It was pleasant and he kept a good reading pace/flow. He expressed all the emotions wonderfully and he brought the story to life. He sounded age appropriate for the roles and he gave the side characters their own distinct voices. His female voices are impressive.

Unfortunately the 2 MCs sounded the same to me though.

Evan Parker = 3 stars

His reading had a decent pace/flow, though he does read slower than Tim. He expressed the emotions well enough. He did sound age appropriate for the roles.

It could be just me but I am not a fan of Evans voice on this narration compared to Tim.

Occasionally he would sound good for Erics voice and he'd give some of the side characters distinct tones especially the females but I didn't like how Donavans voice sounded.

Other times his voice was bad for both of the main characters as well as all the side characters and I couldn't really tell who was talking and the sound of his voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me. It really made me want to just read his chapters.

Such a sweet story
